Hi, I found this today while browsing:
    m_9780761327776.jpg

It's a teenage girl's book on scrapbooking but it has some good ideas on making your own scrapbooks cheaply, such as out of old cereal boxes and gardening catalogues (one for Mary?) to give as gifts.

I'm not suggesting you buy it :D, if you look at this link, you can see how to make the homemade scrapbooks for free! (like Amazon, it has the 'Look inside the book' facility) :money:(Just wait a few moments for the page to load, it comes under the pic of the book). I also like the Gift Bag scrapbook.

If you did want to buy it, I suggest Amazon marketplace as they sell it for around £5 (incl p&p). ;)

Thanks for the welcome Mel. I need to take some pictures of my pages (only done about 10, but they're getting better, but still taking hours each!)
I've just about finished this exploding box mini scrapbook for me mum. Quite pleased with it, but I'm not keen on the card I used...

emujuice - I'm the same as you - I've only made about 12 pages. Mine take hours and look like they have taken minutes!! I really need to make more and practice.
Rusty - don't rush lady - take it easy!!
PLM - I can't help dear - I didn't order from them, I was good and resisted the temptation.
quiksave - thanks for the link.

Thanks guys for your comments - of course you can do one like it Rusty. An exploding box is not my idea, but the lay out is. I'm also going to add some flowers on strips of acetate that jump out at you. I'll show you when I'm done!
Scrapbooking class tonight at the craftden. whooo hoo!

qwiksave - thanks for the link..............I had a look but couldn't see any pictures - just a white box with red x in the corner -computer doing strange things this week as well........ Get the gist of it though.
I'm doing my sort of life story from my very first memory and for that I just had two pieces of coloured card back and front, punched a couple of holes in for one of those plastic things you get to put in small folders then punched a hole for ribbon to tie it together.
Don't know why I''ve not done more things like that...............daft me:rotfl:

    emujuice...........love the exploding scrapbook - :T
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
