When I got my order of paperbag albums from ebay she'd sent them in a little pizza box. So I decorated it, wrapped the album in tissue paper and put it inside, so it looks more of a gift. I should've decorated all of the box instead of just the lid, but I've run out of double sided tape.0

For those of you near Glasgow who use the Glasgow Fort HOBBYCRAFT it is closing down its big shop and moving to the much smaller early learning center in the Fort.
I dont know if this means they will be selling items off cheap as there is no way they can fit all there stock in the smaller store. They will move in about 2 weeks.
I was also looking for an Aldi cutter but so far have been unsuccesfull- I have tried 4 stores in glasgow/edinburgh .If anyone knows any stores in these areas that have one let me know- I would be so grateful.
melissa75 your album is really lovely - I think sales of the archaic paper are going to soar now!
Can I just ask ,as Im a total beginner ( ie 2 pages done so far ).How are the paper bags different, are they better than other albums ?
And I heard you mentioning about sewing.I cant sew so would they still be suitable ?
Again I would appreciate any info .0 -

melissa your box looks lovely. what a great idea for a gift. I have used my pizza box for storing my 12x12 papers - just the right size so they don't get bent!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Bunbun - I use my 12x12 boxes for storage too! This one was about 8x8 I think, so a perfect size for the album.
Cat72 - the paperbags are just a cheaper option for making an album. I like them because they are quite rustic looking. Plus because they are made out of the folded bags thay have 3 pockets at the side where you can store bits and bobs - tickets etc. The sewing that's involved looks really simple - its just a straight stitch along the spine to secure the three bags together. If you want to know anything else just ask!!0 -
Rusty - When I first decided I wanted to try a paperbag album I went mad and bought loads of paperbags. I found it so hard to put them together without a sewing machine though, they do look really easy to stitch.
Bunbun - can't wait to see your piccies.
DebH - thanks for the link and welcome to the thread.
Rainmac - thanks for your compliments, are you still coming to the show???
Love your box melissa, your mum is going to absolutely love her present
I truly hope I am coming to the show. Have already bought my ticket but OH is saying he may not be able to get the day off  I need to wait and see really, will be gutted if I can't make it. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Just read through all of this thread, i love it
Could do with some help though. I need loads and loads of baby papers, embellishments, stickers, ribbons....everything. Im gonna need to buy in bulk as well, enough to make about 30, so i dont want prices to be too high, although i know that this will be expensive.
I want really pretty designs. Im looking around, but some of the ranges just dont look exciting and wonderful at allAny suggestions? I want scrapbooks that look as gorgeous as everybody elses!!
Sorry to be cheeky :PSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

Hi
I am not a scrapbook expert but for basic scrapbooks at a budget price I recommend the paper bag ones, I have just bought 2 from the same ebay seller and she has a lot more in stock. I would definately say this is the cheaper option for you. As for papers you would be better off looking at a local craft shop.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
SaucySecrets - did you want to make 30 scrapbooks, or 30 pages?? Was it boy or girl that you were after?? Like Rusty said if its 30 scrapbooks - paper bag albums are the cheapest option.0
