    Can't believe it - I';ve nearly done one scrapbook..............:j:j:j
Can't think of what else to add to it really as its a sort of family tree one..........I've covered everyone in the family plus grandparents etc.
Think for the next one I'll have some of the photos copied at the copy-shop..............sure it'll work out cheaper, specially for the old black and white ones, than running out of ink again.

congrats my first album took me ages could never quite figure out where i wanted elements on my pages would spend ages sat there stopping and starting

    How is everybody?

@mary-op - hows the scrapbook coming along? Have you got some pictures?

I've signed up to the Fleet Scrapaholix Club and the first crop is 19th May. I'm really nervous, but sort of excited :)

mary-op is away at the moment (on holiday I think). Mary also doesn't do photos on mse, she says its too 'technical' and hasn't got a digital camera. (Hope she doesn't mind me saying). We are all hoping that that can be sorted, as we all want to see her wonderful 'sounding' creations.

OOh a crop! Lucky you, bet it'll be fun. Wish we had things like that near me. :(

Hello all :j Back from holiday now............is it just me or does going away wear everybody out ? It's so nice to get home.
Had a good time and bought yet more paper for scrapbooks -been trying to work out where to put the actual 'family tree' bit I've done -think I've sussed it out.
Can't do photos as don't have all the digi stuff -keep saying I'll have a go with my camera on my phone but last photos I took with it looked c**p:eek: I'd love to show you -be nice to get someone elses opinion.
Still need some floral embellishments.........shop I went to had nothing at all - paper galore but not much else so I'll have to cross fingers and hope the shop here still has some. Did get some alphabets though and sons girlfriend has given me a box full of stuff for christmas cards -might be something in there I can use thats not too 'festive'
Now I'm back and once I've recovered from being away I might get my act together a bit more...............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

qwiksave - just checked out your blog(could have spent hours drooling over your lovely stuff......;)) to have another look at the foam specs case you made.
Having now got my sheets of foam at last I want to do one for my grandson and maybe one of my sons (I know the other will think its a bit 'naff'...............lol) Need ideas on what to put round the edges instead of beads.............scratched my head and can't think of anything. Grandson will be 18 this year and my son is late 30's but very 'arty'...........can you give me anything to go on ?

Sorry, but I can't think of something else you could put instead of beads (anybody else?) Maybe you could either leave them out altogether or possibly put dark coloured beads on?

    qwiksave - thats the one.
Had a bit of a practise go yesterday with some pink foam and put beads round it that were sort of dark pink/purple. I thought it looked ok -OH didn't and don't know whether it was because I got the foam sheets from Poundland and they were a bit thin.....every mark, like fingernails, showed and not sure it would be very protective for specs........didn't think this at first till I tried mine in it.
You wouldn't believe the 'debate' that went on with me and OH...................lol I think I might now use the foam as a liner and cover it with toning or matching felt and decorate it with a flower or beads round the edge for girls..............maybe some sort of button or two for boys.

OOps! Yes, I must admit the design isn't very robust and not really suitable for carrying about in a bag say. I must admit mine has been left around the house somewhere. Its only suitable for ocassional handling and is just somewhere to store the glasses, not for protection.
