Just received 2 through post today. Tried one and so far not very impressed. I have attached it in place of existing showerhead on a Triton T80si and it just seems to leak out of hole, power is not as great as normal (although I can live with this for eco reasons) and water doesn't seem to be aereated. Have tried it fast (cold) and slow (hot) which makes little difference. Certainly doesn't seem to be anything like video demonstration where they compare normal showerhead with ecocamel on same tap setting in a split screen and ecocamel projects much further than normal. If anything I would say it's the other way round with mine. However, will give it a try tomorrow morning as a proper shower but if still no good may well send back under 30 day guarantee.0

Just a thought, does it work on an electric shower. I am not likely to vary the length of time I am in the shower and therefore the electric heater is on for the same amount of time so I can't see how I can save any electricity although I may save water!0

From their website:
It can be used on electric showers to improve showering performance but there may not be a significant saving benefit. It is not designed to work effectively with low pressure gravity fed systems ( this is from a water tank in the loft)
Not a lot of point, then.0 -

Let us know how you get on, and if you claim a refund how well they deal with it. The more I read about this product, particularly having now seen it, the more I feel that it's overpriced and ineffective. One or two people (possibly connected with Ecocamel?) seem happy with it, but there are more who aren't.
I'm also puzzled by the reference to Waterwise on the Ecocamel site. When you go into the Waterwise site you'll find virtually no mention of Ecocamel - all that appears is what looks like a brief advert under product suppliers:
Eco Camel Ltd is a new consumer website dedicated to supplying products that help consumers save water and energy.
I've got no axe to grind on this product, but I think people need to think very carefully before laying out £24.95, and if it doesn't live up to its promise, send it straight back. The terms and conditions don't exactly inspire confidence, either, particularly as they actually try to cover themselves against negligence, breach of contract and misrepresentation! Ask yourself - why would they want to do that?
8.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the liability of the Seller for death or personal injury, however the Seller shall not be liable for any direct loss or damage suffered by the Buyer howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract or otherwise in excess of the price of the Goods.
8.2 The Seller shall not be liable under any circumstances to the Buyer or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss of profit, consequential or other economic loss suffered by the Buyer howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise.0 -
I have to say that I do have one of these, I am pleased with it, the build quality is fine, the power is good, the water volume used is reduced, the temperature is good also, I have not had to turn up the thermostat to compensate for the aeration,
I use it on a mixer shower, its not really designed for electric showers so Im not really suprised that its not working as expected
As for the terms and conditions, they seem pretty standard to me but then Im no expert on this.
I have no connection with ecocamel or the people who make it, I have been a poster on here for years, I have noticed though that the people who have bought it and do not like it are new posters with one or two posts to their belts so I would tend to be more sceptical about these posts (whilst still accepting that all posters start posting on one topic it seems that this thread has a larger than average number of new posters, most with a negative attitiute to the showerhead)0 -

I know from all your posts that you're a keen supporter of this product (as you'll know from mine that I'm not), but I can't agree your conclusions on the new posters. It could just be that a lot of people buy the product, are unhappy with it, use Google to look for similar complaints, then find this thread and post. I can't see why there would be anything more to it than that.0 -
Has anyone tried one of these or know of a similar item that is less tacky, apart from the one on Amazon that looks even flimsier

Thanks for some support. I googled ecocamel to see if I'd done something wrong. It appears not. My shower this morning was not impressive but it may well be different for others. As a result I am returning them tomorrow. I'll report back how the 30 day money back guarantee works out.0 -
Has anyone got one of these and on a Water meter?
Would be interesting to see actual savings this way.0 -
Hi all,
Just to let you know after posting off the 2 shower heads on Friday, Ecocamel have just refunded my money so I can't complain about that. Seems that there's no worry buying them on the off chance that they will work, particularly if your on a water meter and don't have an electric shower. Obviously a fair company.0
