Just brimmed the gas-guzzling never-taken-off road 4x4 with petrol. Also took the opportunity to fill a couple of spare petrol containers, about 6 x 2 litre bottles of water and even the empty coke can in the cup holder with Super Unleaded. :rolleyes: Just need to remember not to take a swig from the coke can or light up............... :rolleyes:

It depends where you go, my local BP garage is selling petrol at 1.17p, whereas Morrisons is dearer as is the Shell garage up the road.

I was in London at the weekend and the average price for unleaded was 1.18p but at Sainsbury's at Nine Elms (where I filled up) the price was 1.17p.

People will have to learn to drive economically, less pedal to the metal and turn off the engine when sitting in a long queue of traffic.

Personally, I don't really see the problem because I can remember a time when we paid £5 for a gallon of fuel and it wasn't too long ago either.

I went to my local Shell after work as I only had 1/4 left in my tank which wouldn't last long. They only had standard diesel left, luckily that was what I wanted. At 126.9 a litre, it must be the first time in ages that the price had stayed static since my last fill up a week or so ago.

Yes they are just the three we pass on the way home, will try and go early to work in morning to try a different couple
