My food craze at the moment is home made lasagne with white sauce and processed cheese slices. The melted cheese slices are yummy (can't stand them straight out of the pack).

Tip: Don't make the meat sauce too runny, you need a thicker consistency than a bolognaise sauce.

Nothing can beat a HM Lasagne with HM coleslaw and crusty bread :D

nuttyrockeress - ooh that's an interesting slant on it, adding chillies, thanks for that idea. :)

I also like a dollop of mustard in when I'm making my white sauce. Goes lovely with the cheese on top.

Black saturn has one in her menu planner.
Also theres a good one on the campbells website - you use a tin of condensed mushroom soup and half pint of milk for the white sauce, mince, tomato puree and tin of mediterranean tomato soup for meat sauce. Topped with cheese. Very handy for a quick but really good lasagne.

Dead easy! :o I make mine using the food processor

Shred some white cabbage, add some finely chopped onion, grated carrot and bind with a dollop of mayo.

I ring the changes to it by:-

~ throwing in a handful of sultana's/seeds/nuts/dried fruits
    ~ adding grated apple/pear
~ adding flavour to the mayo with garlic puree/dried chilli bits/squeeze of citrus juice/herbs/mint sauce
~ add any leftover chilled sweetcorn/peas

It is so much cheaper, healthier and tastier than any shop bought and very quick to rustle up. Once you have the basics, be inventive with adding extra flavours/ingredients that tickle your fancy. :):):)

halloweenqueen - that does sound quick and easy :D Campbells soups have so many uses!!! On the thrift side, they wouldn't be the cheapest option, but certainly a speedy one. :D:D

Red capsicum diced is also nice added in. Boosts a bit of the colour scheme too. :D Love the idea of sultana's too. Never thought of that one. Would go nice with a bit of curry flavoured mayo.
