Who's going to YORK? Old Style gathering: Poll

I think that a post of mine was dropped, I did contact the hostel and got a lot of info - not sure what happened there...

Let me recap:

1 - to have the group rate we need 8 people, as their smallest room is for 8
2 - if we are ok to sleep in a communal dorm the rate is cheaper anyway at £13 for b&b (continental)
3 - only hostel guests are allowed to eat in the hostel but there is a wetherspoons pub very near who does cheap meals.

Now, for Lilibet's question:I think that it depends where everyone who sent a cheque is from: if only from SE England it seems silly to trek it all the way to York - but then again, what about the Northern people who were going to the meet and who live locally?

If there is any doubt that any of us go maybe we need to revisit the idea altogether and re-arrange at a later date (after the babies are born?).

I was going to pop in as I live near York but do not know what has been decided.

So far only 4 people are still thinking of going, Lillibet is collecting the cheques to book the hostel in York, but this is all I know as well!

If people are really serious about going why not pm Lillibet and get her address to send a cheque?

Hope we can still meet up!

I have spoken with the hostel and it is only possible to book a room if we have a minimum of 8 people (as a group) - also, people not staying in the hostel are not allowed to visit and eat with the residents so we would have to arrange to have a meal out.

How do people feel about this?

Well I am def going to come, I have a sister who lives in york so will be staying with her... don't know about anybody else.

OK are the people going to York and needing accommodation happy to sleep in a dorm? We need to let Lillibet know so she can book the beds!
