Sorry it's taken me so long to get around to replying, I was off work (& hence aaway from my PC) last week with what I thought was a stomach upset, then I thought maybe PMT, turns out I am pregnant!!! ( I shall shortly be starting a thread on cures for all-day morning sickness!)
Anyway, back to the meet.
Can I suggest everyone who wants accomodation gets their cheques for £14.50 to me by Friday 7th January? As soon as they have cleared my bank I will book the hostel for as many as required. Those who intend to go please can you PM for my address etc.Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Well well well Lillibet, many congratulations!

Let me start you on the cures for morning sickness: peppermint tea, peppermint sweets, peppermint anything - usually a good anti-nausea remedy, but you can end up hating if you have too much.
Ginger tea (grate a piece of fresh ginger root, cover with hot water and let it steep, filter and add a bit of honey) is also great.
Always have with you a packet of dry biscuits or oatcakes to munch on when feeling woozy!
Gonna pm you for address.
Love

ginger biscuits, 2 of before you get up. worked for me, except with daughter. where it lasted 9 months, but i won't bang on about that.0

If you like coke (the drink!) let some go flat and take it to bed with you along with the ginger biccies. Sip and munch slowly before you get out of bed.
Congratulations ;DMink0 -

Thanks everyone.
Do these cures work at any time of day? I don't feel too bad, just a bit queasy, first thing in the morning. It gets worse as the day goes on (last night I was throwing up at 9pm! Whoever called it MORNING sickness?) It seems to ease off after I eat for about half an hour, then come back with a vengance. Plus, I really don't want to eat much, appetite has fallen through the floor & I seem to have an aversion to everything that I used to love!
Have already tried ginger tea (both herbal tea bags & fresh) can honeslty say it makes no difference. Don't think I can face biscuits & the smell of mint is making me heave. Will try flat coke next. Any other magic cures out there?
