Well what a day, not really old syle but exciting never the less. We are going to do a house/cat/dog sit in France over Christmas.........just booked the ferry £50 and two overnights in a hotel £48.00 with breakfast off 15th Dec return 29th Dec.........petrol should be around £80 and then have the road tolls to pay, we are going by the autoroute, 560 miles each way, its the quickest way to go.........I usually take quite abit of food with us, hard frozen in a sealed freezer box with ice blocks it will stay frozen for 2 days as long as the box is not opened.......centally heated cottage with a wood fire for the colder nights, should be good.
This will be the second Christmas we have spent abroad in France we were away two years ago as well, but in Northern France then. Looking forward to it........
The children all have their own families and we tend not to see them usually on our own so not a problem there..............

Ouch, does anybody have a hangover cure
Squeaky's Home Brew was lethal and my liver thinks its been hung, drawn and quartered. Jeez hun, that stuff is Rocket fuel. (how ya feeling hun)
But what a night!
Shame about the broken heel on my fav Manolos. I don't think superglue is going to do it with a broken 6" heel
The new LBJ did pretty well considering how low cut this one is, I should have listened to the neckline warning in the LBJ HOW TO guide, might have saved myself a few odd comments, especially with that little incident on the dance floor
Warnings:
Keep in mind that necklaces will draw attention to your bust and neckline. Avoid any neck accessories should you wish to downplay these areas.
Too late!
My Hold ups are wrecked tooGood job I got them on special, a 2 pair pack for about a fiver.
And how the hell am I going to explain waking up in the wrong bed, I mean threadThe Arms folk are never going to let me live this down!

Morning All
Tooth and mouth still aching, but will keep up with the pain relief
Load in the washing machine to go on about 6am. Have cleaner coming this morning, so will leave everything to her..lol.
Have to call Halifax to claim on insurance for carpet on stairs-spilt some bleach on it and wont come out  All dd's bedding to strip-(she does this herself) and new bedding is already for cleaner to put on for her. OH knocked up another 4 pizza bases in the BM yesterday  he's addicted
Breakie is cereal/toast & juice. Lunch for me is a roast lamb dinner-OH Beef curry & rice. Dinner is Chilli Con Carne with lamb mince-with enough for a couple of spud toppings.
Will catch up later. Have a great day.

morning everyone
not a lot planned here today. need to fill out an online job application and take the rubbish out. Also hopefully get the drying washing put away have given in and turned on heating as the washing has been on the airers drying for 5 days and is still wet!!!!
just had the yummiest breakfast: porridge made with water then a vanilla yoghurt mixed in so creamy and lovely and very full now.
lunch is a ham toastie, dinner is veggie sausages and swede mash with veg and gravy-cant wait!
should be getting my next Dvd rental delivery today. my company took money out of my account by mistake(supposed to be months free trial) so i complained and they gave me 2 months free! £8 for 3 months i can live with that especially as i am getting through 9 dvds a week. today i am expecting Garden state, catherine tate and Snoopy the musical(I am such a kid)
Asda delivery came yesterday and it was a bit of a disaster. There was quite a few items missing and my eggs were broken so phoned to complain about that. Also had ordered 10 bottles of smart price squash(i drink heaps) but turns out i forgot to click the add to trolley button so no squash for me. Will have to go to shop later now and i really dont want to as i am not good at just buying what i need. Maybe i should develop a taste for water instead.
Anyway have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
Morning.
Havent been round last few days cos been feeling pretty poorly. My sleep pattern is all messed up too.. which wasnt helped this morning when i got to bed at 2am.. and at 4:45am someonen looking for the person over the road drew up outside my house and honked the horn waking me up.... they hit it about 5 times... then shouted. How rude and inconsiderate i thought   Person obviously didnt get the attention of who they wanted though because a few seconds lateragain on the horn... more shouting... then hand kept on the horn for about 30 seconds... then more shouting... then a little tune played out with the car horn... then slamming of car doors... then hammering on the front door... and shouting through the letterbox.... then more tunes on the car horn... this went on for about 15 minutes. In the end the person came to the front door and something went on and the other person got back in the car and the car reversed at high speed back down the street (i live in a short, narrow and dead end street). These same people decided at 2am the other morning to do some work under a car bonnet and lit up my bedroom with their full-beam headlights because of how they parked.. and made a racket again waking me up.
Anyway (sorry im just so mad) i was wide awake then and couldnt get back to sleep so got up about 5:30 and jumped in the bath (no shower) have had a tidy up of my bedroom - i seriously dont know how i make so much mess alone!
:rotfl: Then ive come down to have a tidy/clean up down here and wash dishes from the last 3 days
:rotfl: Then this morning i have to go to the hospital for blood tests to see why my sore throats are lasting on average 4-5 weeks even with antibiotics. Hopefully gonna have a mooch in sainsburys afterwards - havent been for years cos dont go that end of town usually. Got a little bit of fruit shopping etc to do on my way back past the greengrocers and to post off a few job applications.. then i might go to bed again and get some afternoon kip! (before the wretched kids who live in the street get home from school -those that actually go  and spend all night playing football using my door/living room window as a goal  )
God im getting to be a moaning misery in my old age!:rotfl:

Got to do Christmas things today as I want OH to show me how to put Excel worksheets onto my PDA and be able to edit them. I do just about everything in Excel so it would be a great help!
Need to put washing out on the line, clean the house top to bottom (about 2 hours I think) and sort out the basket of bits I have managed to gather off the desk. I'm sick of not being able to find anything so I'm trying to clear it all up and start from scratch. Somehow I don't think it will happen today.
Lunch is Chicken and veg soup and tea is Pumpkin soup made by DD. Should be interesting.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I was up at 6am this morning, but only to make a cup of tea, boy it was cold, so crawled back to bed for another couple of hours.
Busy day ahead, soup to make with chicken carcass, scones and bread, we are away for the weekend in the caravan, not leaving until late this afternoon, so time to get everything done..... hope its a bit warmer tonight.
Everything in place for our tirp to France for Christmas, ferry booked £50 and the hotel, its a bit like a travel lodge, you pay for the room €28 plus €3.20 for breakfast and its an eat as much as you want type thing, so we usually stoke up and also pinch bread for lunch as well (naughty, naughty) We have an good 8 hour drive to Tarn et Garonne and we have to go round Paris GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR, the traffic on that road is awsome at the best of times and french drivers do not indicate before they pull out!!!!! Makes life interesting to say the least. Have printed out my diary sheet for December so I can plan out the meals and see what I need to buy ahead, think I will be taking a piece of hard frozen pork with me to cook for Christmas dinner.......
Well I am off, need to shower and dress and get the show on the road, see you all Sunday.......

Morning :hello:
DS1 off to school and DS2 being a grump downstairsWashing is on line and I'm sure I can find another load to go in shortly. DS2's bed needs stripping and all bedrooms need a quick tidy , dust and hoover. Lunch will be more HM soup and bread - put a little too much celery in the soup so can't hide that fact from Mr TM, but I love it. Tea will be Chicken korma. Need to make another batch of base sauce sometime this weekend too as this will be my last lot.
I started sorting stuff for the car boot sale, last night. I've only been in the attic and got out the baby/toddler toys and a few odds and ends and I seem to have a car load. I need to sort the garage out yet and I know there's lots in there. Luckily I have a large MPV, but even with all 5 back seats out, I reckon I'll be pushing it for space - only cos kids toys are soo bulkyMy neighbour is coming with me, but she'll be taking her own car (she's loads of stuff too) so we'll just end up with our own but next-door pitches. I'm going to borrow their digi camera and may try selling some of the decent baby stuff on ebay first as boot sale isn't until 30/10.
OK, DS wants to go on his teletubby game on here now, so I can get on with some bits for a while.
Have a good day all, and Racy - I have learnt from experience that the best hangover cure is not to drink(Oooops, too late for that one
)
