  • At work today, but finishing at 3.30pm. Good thing too otherwise i'd still be trying to get home when the trick-treaters arrive. This year they're getting fairy cakes iced with spiders & small stories on paper treated with tea to look old & rolled like a scroll.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

Well done! What a lot of ol style achievements! All I have done so far is make a pan of soup using up contents of my freezer fairy. I must get back to making some yogurt.

    Hello everyone

Boy, I'm bushed. I was knackered yesterday from spending 8 hours standing on a cold concrete floor, then coming home to do full sunday roast, laundry etc etc. Had a bit of a lie-in today as kids on an inset day, but have been to mum's to do her cleaning etc. Today was the day she wanted the 'heavy' jobs done too :(

Anyway, not too OS today except had some lovely hotpot at mum's for lunch. Need to put BM on soon. Tea will be leftovers from roast chicken yesterday, although in about 30 mins boys are going to a neighbour's for a halloween party. So, they will be fed and I'm sure I'll end up staying for a glass of wine (or 3, :D) I don't do halloween, so boys have dragged out a couple of masks Mr TM bought last year, I shall be lipsticking blood on them and they can use their Batman capes. DS1 is a soldier ghost - so he can still carry a gun and wear his soldier hat:rotfl: My only concession to trick or treat is a box of mini gingerbread men I picked up in Tesco this afternoon - only for kids I know who have been 'booked in' by their parents. All the others can go jump :D (Yes, I really am that miserable :D:D) Can't be doing with 14 year olds who've never set foot in our road before demanding treats, cos we look like a soft touch.

Anyway, off to drag clothes out of TD, put more washing on and do a bit of sorting out before I go to party.

ps nice to see your posts again, ancasta. :)

((((HUGS))))) CQ Try to spoil yourself a bit, feet up, cuppa, chocs whatever it takes and give yourself a break, we all go on overload sometimes and for some strange reason find it hard to make allowances for ourselves when we would happily do so for others! Hope you feel better soon.

CQ - You're an inspiration to an awful lot of people on here - you're also allowed to have problems of your own. If you want a rant or a moan or a general cry for help then don't be afraid to do it here....we're all here to help one another.........

If you want a shoulder or a sympathetic ear then I'm sure I speak for a lot of others when I say PM me!

    Hiya :)

All this reads as pefect for posting on our daily thread, so as soon as I've nipped off and got myself a :coffee: I'll merge the two together :)

I've felt awful all day due to a cold coming on yesterday. So I took the kids the school in the pouring rain (which didn't do my cold much good) and then just vegged out on the sofa all day. I made a fishermans pie out of smoked cod, milk and mash in the slow cooker but couldnt really taste it due to my cold. Hope I feel better tomorrow.
