    WOOOOOO HOOOOOO

Super Dooper dinner with the kids tonight. I have been having a really hard time getting them to eat HM, they've been bought up on shop bought nuggets and such rubbish. Dont know why or how it happened really asI cooked every last thing they ate from weaning.

Anyway, tonight I made my chicken nuggets and even DD1 (notoriously fussy little cow) ate them up. I feel good knowing there were no preservatives (aside from those in the bread from HM breadcrumbs) in them.

Put onion, an apple, pinch of mixed herbs, an egg and 1 1/2 chicken breasts
in food processor, gave em a wizz. Shaped into rounds, coated
in egg then breadcrumbs, fried them off then put into oven to finish.

Nearly fainted when she ate one. Cant tell you the last time she ate something other than broccoli or dry cereal (thats 3 year olds for you).

Other than that we havent done too much today. I have been taking practise driving theory tests on my CDRom and have passed all but 2 so might book that up this week

Stepdaughter her for her birthday with us tomorrow so that will be nice and stressful but fun for the sprogs.

Hope you are all enjoying your evenings. I'm off to do some more theory practise.

    Chatmtomorrow,
    Al.

    Silly Sally!!!!!

And Kiwichick - I did that too last week! Also did HM burgers on another night and was very pleased that they were all eaten!

I am not a totally happy bunny. Work took longer than expected this morning, so didn't get home as planned. And therefore only got half a clean kitchen cupboard.

I'm going to wait until the kids are in bed and do the rest and set up the BM for the morning.

That's a great idea, kiwichick, blitzing the chicken etc together. When I make my HM nuggets, I just coat lumps of chicken breast, but DS2 still won't eat them (he's also is a fussy beggar - weetabix and fruit) Maybe if I tried them that way, he'll eat them. However, I won't hold my breath cos he won't eat Maccy D's anyway :D

That's what's great about this thread - just a simple suggestion and it's got me thinking again :)

    Evening

Had a successful day shopping today - went to local shopping centre to look for birthday pressie for my nephew & discovered that BHS had got a weekend event running -20% off EVERYTHING!!:D Had to, therefore, start my xmas shopping!!!! Got some great bargains (xmas cards, PJs for niece, cars for my 2 (BOGOF)) Then went to Boots and used their 3 for 2 offers to get more gifts!! My OH can't believe what a bargain hunter I've become (normally I'd just spend, spend, spend!!)

OH hs gone out for a drink tonight (thank heavens - he's been so miserable because his team lost AGAIN!!)

2 loads of washing done and dried/drying. One more load in WM now. Dishwasher has just finished! Will do ironing in morning (unfortunately, its not my turn to have a lie in - so I'll probably be up at 5am (with clocks going back:eek: )

Hope you all have a good evening!!

Very very late posting yet again but as I've sat and read all the messages thought I'd add mine.

I'm pleased as we've sorted out all our male outfits for the wedding - measurements to be done next year but style sorted and all booked and showed parents round reception venue so things are starting to come together :)

Again not very OS today as meals out etc but have done lots of walking, have spent no money and also had a play around with trying to design my wedding invites - nearly there - that's going to parents some money and keep me busy :D

No washing etc today - will need to catch up tomorrow when parents have gone - but don't get to see them very often so not too much of a problem

  • Morning

Had a bad night but cant complain as I had a great day yesterday! Also, one of my best friends hubbys called yeaterday to say that she was loosing her beby. She is just over 5 months preggers and wasnt planned etc-shes 41 but a young 41..lol...she is so gutted, so will have to see how she is later.

Went to BIL for tea and we had HM chilli, rice, new pots, salad, posh salad, lux coleslaw and pot salad, posh breads, wine, beers, chocs, then had 2 scrummy puddings and cheese and biccies later. SIL had done her whole shop in M&S  it was a lovely meal, but was adding it all up in my head as we were eating and worked out the meal for 4 adults and 3 kids would have been about £50+ then i thought-gosh that was me 18 months ago, an exclusive M&S/Waitrose snob :o I spend less than that in a week now ;) but the food was delish and is nice to have a treat-especially not at our expense :rotfl:

Having a very easy day today. Have 1 washload to do. DW needs emptying and DD has a job of sweeping the decking for which she still owes me. Back to school tomorrow :T SIL here in the morning to do things around the house for me, so will sort a list later of jobs needing doing later :D i have a ton of ironing for her :p

Breakie is fresh bread with maybe eggs (not decided which type yet), lunch is a jacket spud or toasted sarnie with yogurt, and dinner will be a roast as normal on a sunday. Today we have chicken breast roasted, roast spuds, mash spuds, brussels, carrots, brocolli, HM yorkies, roasted parsnips, stuffing & gravy....scrummyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Have some cooking apples here tha need using-how do I boil them up for crumbles which I would like to freeze, or could i cook the apple and bag it in the freezer?

Im gonna go and get a cuppa and biccies.

    Have a great day.
