Ruyareece, you will need a little lie down later on, with all your early morning exploits! DS's dad (we live apart) set off this morning to take DS to his football game at 8am. He forgot about the hour but turned round when he heard the 8 o'clock news on the radio!! Need to do a big Lidl shop today to stock up on fresh stuff. Hope they have half price fruit & veg on again. Also need more bread flour, milk and a few other bits and pieces. I'll try to do a rough meal plan later so I don't buy things we will waste.
How do I stop potatoes from going green? I bought some baking potatoes on BOGOF at somerfield and they are starting to turn a bit. Oh well...
I will be having a major photo session for ebay later as well. I am quite new to it but it is really addictive. It is surprising what people will pay for second hand goods. You can't predict it either (well I can't). I am so envious of the poster who is off to Spain for a week. It is pouring down and blowing a gale here.
Have a great day everyone.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Morning all. Spent yesterday in bed because I felt truly rotten and DH was home, he brought me up a coffee dosed with whisky last night and I woke up feeling much better this morning so the washing is on, my bedroom is tidied and the bed made and I've gone round the house clearing away all the rubbish that accumulated yesterday.
I've got a joint of beef thawing out for tea tonight as DH has gone to work, so we'll be having roast for tea. Will potter around doing stuff today but I'm not going to wear myself out or I will just end up back in bed again
Want to have a talk with DH tonight about where we are headed in life, we're so different sometimes I just have to check we are both running on the same tracksOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi All,
Been to church, plans for the rest of the day are to do as much housework as possible and (hopefully) find time to go and see Wallace and Grommit. OH has taken advantage of the slight dry spell to clean out the guinea pigs. I have defrosted some chicken for tea but do not feel inclined to cook a roast (although do feel inclined to eat one but never mind) as Im fed up of cooking.
Yesterday whilst OH and DD's were at safari park (getting soaked on the log flume) i cooked - spag bol, shepherds pie, chicken curry and fish pie for the freezer. I also made (a la bero) macaroons, choc chip cookies and a rich jam tart. Managed to get half of the tart, macaroons and cookies in the freezer before family returned home and ate the rest! Then I sat down for some TV watching and did loads of sewing, buttons, hems etc.
After Wallace and Grommit I will either do more sewing or start on my ebay auctions, I have 30 auctions waiting to be put on, photos are all done though.
Have a good day. :wave:0 -
Hello Eveybody,
I'm off to bed. It's 10.30pm. I am so worried about my little dog Benny. Will have to take him to the vet in the morning. It's like he's paralaysed in his back on one side. He can't walk and keeps collapsing. I have to carry him outside to do wee wee's and when he does walk his hips are swaying. He's not in pain and we've gone over him with a fine tooth comb, can't see a tick & he doesn't yelp. He's a maltese/silky terrier.
I haven't done much today, started my monthly menu but didn't finish it. Washed & done the basics. Got YS to mow. The grass is growing so quickly now, it's a weekly chore. Made apple crumble & HM custard for dessert. I better be off, bl***dy hell I just remembered I have to make DH lunch yet, Have a nice Sunday.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Hi all
woke up a bit depressed (scuzz I know how you feel, hopefully as the day goes by you will feel better!) but DH started to do the gardening and I joined in and now feeling much better. Planted garlic, spring onions and winter spinach (let's hope it grows in winter!).
AussieLass I hope your doggie will get better, I shall say a little prayer for him.
Sweet Pea, I hope you enjoy Wallace & Gromit, I went a few days ago with the family and we LOVED IT!!!
Soup is on the stove, cooking the last few carrots and potatoes, then we will go to the cinema too, to see Nanny McPhee.
Love to all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Aussie Lass, I hope little Benny is OK, and that the vet can figure out and help with whatever is wrong. Poor little boy.
I have done the grand sum of nothing today. Not even washed a cup...I am a total disgrace. The house is a tip, I would be mortified if anyone called round. Think I will at least tidy up my bedroom - it's where I have my computer and it seems to be a breeding ground for paper. I am getting my small bedroom flooring done soon, and will move all books, computer etc etc in there, and probably get a bit of extra furniture to go in there too as I have hardly any storage space for my files, study books and so on.
Good news...I got a new kitty yesterday. His name is now Ted and he is a ginger and white stunner, about a year old. I managed to find the "mad cat woman" in a nearby town. She goes out and traps feral cats, has them "done" and puts them back. Any that are obviously tame she takes in, has them vaccinated, de-fleaed, wormed and then rehouses them. She says she has rehomed over 700 cats this year...isn't that both heart-warming and appalling all at once. That's 700 cats who were abandoned...but also 700 cats who she found good homes for. Her reputation has spread far and wide, people come from all over N.Ireland to her for cats...and she does this for love and out of her own pocket, no funding from anywhere! The boy I now have is perfect for me, he is gorgeous (though I still miss my beautiful Henry and Baba so much it hurts).
Scuzz, sorry to hear you are feeling lonely. Perhaps you could call a good friend this evening for a chat and to remind yourself that life isn't all about work?
All the best everyone.

Hello :j
Tired to post at about 5 this morning but couldn't get onAnyway, I was up before ther larks as I went to the car boot sale. Thought we'd be early arriving at 6.30 but were about 60th car, at least
Never mind, got a decent pitch, shifted 90% of my gear and cleared over £120 after taking out the entrance fee and what I gave to my friend (the go-kart I sold was originally her boys, so we went halves on it ) So, feeling quite good, garage and spare room are clear and I have some dosh. (However, remembered to pay my CC bill online this mornig and as Mr TM doesn't get paid until tomorrow, I'm in real terms nearly £700 in the red )
Didn't have time to prep the chicken in the slow cooker before I left, so I'm doing it in the oven - at least I can do lots of roasties too
Well, I have to say I'm knackered - standing up since 7am and more to the point, the car was miles away from the pitch so I've run miles tooSo, I have my cuppa in front of me. The boys are out with Mr TM so I have a bit of peace for a short while longer......
