Feeling so lazy today, prob cos I know I have lots to do! I have quite a lot of work to do for my part-time business, kind of don't know where to start with it all. I am a glutton for punishment working full time plus a part time business I have to spend 10-15 hrs a week on, most of the time I enjoy it just every now and then I feel I need a break sometimes. Must be positive though cos next week we are going away for a couple of days, next Sunday to Tuesday so at least I have something to look forward to.
Then I have all the usual household chores as I did nothing yesterday except washing the clothes. There's loads of dishes waiting to be washed. Also have too hoover all the house, dust etc....sigh....no rest for the wicked eh?
I want to try to make some soup for the first time in the SC. I bought a Tesco value blender yesterday for £4.97 to finish the soup off to make it smoother. Fingers crossed please folks that I don't make a mess of it as I haven't much of a clue what to do really!
I really ought to get going and make a start soon, have a good day all of you.

Well, OH has been packed off to work, I've already tidied the cupboard in the front bathroom (why is it that when men use the last paracetamol/plaster etc they are unable to put the empty box in the bin?), put away a load of clean clothes from yesterday & now need to start on the mammoth amount of ironing.
There's a rib of beef in the fridge for dinner & I'm doing the full works to go with it - yorkies, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, stuffing, leeks in cheese sauce, mashed carrot & swede & gravy. Rhubarb crumble & custard to follow if we've got any room left. Yum!
I do not intend to leave the house today, so shouldn't spend any money.0 -
Morning all!
Did the kitchen cupboards yesterday, and can't believe the amount of space I have!
Off to Tesco this morning - and my shopping list is getting longer doing OS rather than smaller! (Its cos I don't have the usual basics in the cupboard that most of you guys have - and these all have to be bought at some point!)
Did my Meal Planner for the next 5 weeks last night. I have decided to slow my HM stuff for the time being. My kids are not that happy with most of what I am producing. So we have agreed that as they eat HM nuggets, HM burgers, HM lasagne, HM bolognaise (etc) that I would stick to making those types of food during the week, on the condition that I introduce one new recipie a week and they have to eat it.
I think that I am running before I can walk. Mind you, they don't seem to have a problem with the HM biscuits and cakes - strange that!
My Dad is taking all 4 kids off to McDonalds for lunch and then to the park (the fool!). It give OH and I a few hours to get the gardens tidy. We wont be able to cut the hedges or grass as it is far to wet, but at least we can get the swings/slides and that sort of stuff away before the weather starts to turn.
Our Sunday dinner will also be Beef in Gravy roast!
Oh! The baby is shouting mummy!!!!!!! about time too!!!!0 -
Morning all!:hello:
Well, just as I expected, no 'extra hour in bed' for me - when is someone going to tell my kids that they're meant to stay in bed longer? Up at 5.15am, ironing done, 1 load of washing done & in Tumble Dryer, all veg etc prepared for dinner (roast chicken, veg etc etc..)
Had 'eggy bread' for breakfast - a rare treat, normally don't fry ANYTHING!
DS1 has gone to swimming lessons with his dad, DS2 is sitting with me, waving at the smiley (bless..:A )
Need to do some housework today, to try and get house straight for when DS1 goes back to school, I go back to work, and the hum drum of everyday life continues.....
Will catch up with family later today. Don't expect to have to spend any money, as we're not really going anywhere.
Hope you all have a great Sunday! :wave:20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Just had to post this so that I can see what time goes on the post.
It's 10:15 GMT (11:15 BST) and we have changed our clocks. This site is still in BST - perhaps because the weather is as well?
(Not being obsessive - I used to test computer systems as part of my job and guess that I'm not completly over it yet).0 -
Morning all!
Last night was a lot of fun, I met up with some uni friends I hadnt seen in years and one cooked a roast dinner, so had an excellent time. Its actually given me some enthusiasm to get on with a few things I have been putting off for a while, so thats good.
Anyway, im doing my own roast chicken today and have already done the cleaning etc so its just a case of ironing my work uniform and doing my own stuff today, so a movie and some crafts are in order I think! Im also going to have a good read of an old thread I found last week, Ive decided to start working part time as a photographer (my hobby) next year, and for the next few months start practising again as I havent done it for a while - I want to finish full time work eventually and go full time as a photographer so Im going to start getting a plan together, and buy more equiptment.
My sofa is being delivered on wednesday so Im fairly excited about that and ive decided to go on a diet - I need to lose a bit of weight and now is the time to do it!
Going to have another cuppa then do some ironing - hope you all have a lovely sunday!

Hi Yall, that extra hour was simply the best! The older two MATHLETTS always need a cattle prod to rouse them but wee mini MATHLETT (5yrs) woke at his usual but played quietly in his room so I didn't surface until 8:j
It's dark, wet and windy in the mids so the garage is now glogged with three clothes airers. Thank goodnes we don't have the daft notion that we should put a car in there as well!
Dinner today is a super cheap jumbo turkey leg which I found lurking in the freezer. Roast potatoes and parsnips, Yorkshire puddings, sage and onion stuffing balls, carrots, brocolli and cauliflower. Eve's pudding and custard. All prepped and ready for when I get back from Church.
Catch yall later and have a good day.
