    Hi Everyone,

I am really happy today, as I have finally passed my driving test after 5 attempts! When I found out I burst into tears. I can finally go shopping without DH moaning at me. Not much OS stuff done today, as I spent money on a bottle of wine to celebrate.

    LOL

Congratulations Powie69, that is great news :j :T
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

No, I will get DH to push me to the Arms in his tesco trolley, whilst he goes and does the shopping.

    Scuzz

I am so glad for you.

Today was a bit odd - took DD for new shoes or boots as she is going to a party.

After 2 hours at a designer outlet she decided she could manage with what she had - so only spent £2 on black coffee and resisted the temptation of sandwiches , cakes and biscuits.

Made home made jacket potato and cauli cheese for lunch.
Cooked chicken in slow cooker and have just taken the bones out so I can use it for other meals.
Stock is in slow cooker with lots of veg to make soup for tomorrow.
Also made turkey burgers and roast potatoes for tonight.

Went to Lidl this morning and got lots of fruit, veg, chicken and strong flour along with eggs and cheese rice and pasta and potatoes.

Am going to try not to buy anything this week if I can help it.

    Hello again :D

Scuzz - hope your sis and bil are safely back in the arms of the family :)

powie - excellent news. You do realise that you will now be nominated driver over Xmas, cos you'll "need the practise still" :D

So, me! Well, I had to bite the bullet and chuck the pot full of soup I made. However much it galls me to throw food away, it was truly disgusting and life is too short to eat over-cooked cabbage (bleurgh) One down to experience then, I say.

I did my mystery shopping job, so fuel paid and it meant I could frequent the Aldi's and Lidl's along the way. Bought both boys new moon boots @£4.99 a pair. They are great for playing out in anytime of year. You know the look - middle of summer, shorts, t-shirts and moonboots :D:D Managed to get a new keyboard for less than £4 too - priced at £9.99 so I chose the only blue one and it was £3.97 or something. It's got to be better than this one - I must plug it in later cos I'm spending ages going back and correcting typos.

Finished the kitchen today and it looks very smart. Tonight after boys are in bed I will start pricing up my car boot stuff and sorting out more bits. At least we get and extra hour in bed this sunday - my friend hasn't done one before and couldn't believe the time we are setting off :D

Have a nice evening :) TM

Why, oh why, do management think it is ok, at 4.55pm, to tell someone they are being moved to another branch again, by goddam EMAIL!!! It is so frustrating, there is no goddam consistency and I want to stay where I Bloody am!!

    AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH............................

Next has annoyed me too, they still havent delivered my MP3 player - the bus is getting very annoying with nothing to listen to except some screechy idiot talking on there mobiles saying 'I cant hear ya'. Again, AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

I had a really good day up until 4.55 - there was a cute bloke from H/O in so I had something to drool at, and saw a freind I hadnt seen in 18 months by accident.

Goddam work. And the customers. Pests - the lot of them (Only when being nasty to me when it isnt my or our fault - people should be nice even when things go wrong, they get sorted out as a priority in my book)!! Someone had been sick on the doorstep of work too this morning, someone mustnt like us......

    Thank god its the weekend!

    Jo xx

Powie, many congrats on passing your driving test!

Today didn't quite work out as OS as I had hoped:

Despite getting up reasonably early for a day off I couldn't resist getting back into my bed for another quick snooze - woke up not much before midday, so I was annoyed with myself. Should have kept vertical...

I went to the farmer's market - was a bit late, and there wasn't much left. Stopped at a stall selling fresh bread, scones etc...they were selling multi-grain bread at £2.00 per loaf, and the loaf was ickle! I have made that myself for about 40p. I know I missed out on the fresh fruit and veg as I was late getting there, but even so what was available I can live without.

The next stop was to get some Euros - I live about a mile from the border of southern Ireland - and then headed down to buy petrol. I wish I was good at arithmetic, I changed £80 to Euro, can't remember how many Euro I got (yes I know...pathetic aren't I), then spent 38 Euro on 33 litres of petrol. Petrol over the border is famously cheaper than that on the northern side, but I haven't a clue how much ££ I saved. Ah well.

Then when I got home I did a wee bit of phoning around with regard to my UCAS form. If I want to do midwifery I have to finish and pass my current study, and then apply for 2007. How depressing. I have a university diploma which I forgot about (only three years worth of evening classes, nothing significant ever slips my mind!) so maybe that will get me some brownie points and let me in in 2006. It's not what I was hoping to hear, I will be 40 next year and want to get into uni doing something that will give me a qualification without waiting too much longer.

Second job of the afternoon was to locate a cat rescue woman - I am going to get a new kitty as my geriatric feline Tabitha is so lonely since my beautiful and much missed Henry died. I'll take a trip there tomorrow and will be home with a new boy in my life by tomorrow evening.

That's it, still a bit of cleaning outstanding...

    Hi all.

Not an OS day today at all., but I will make up for it this weekend though!

Working tomorrow morning - not that I want to! The guy I work for seems to forget that I am self-employed. It means I work when I want not when he wants. But, on the other hand I need the money.

So, as I will be working in the morning, its messed up the whole weekend!
I have one free Saturday before Christmas! And too mcuh work to do.

    This weekends goals -
    - Take all duvets to Laundrette to wash. With the weather I think I am going to have to dry them there as well.
    - Clean out all kitchen cupboards. Since HM food has taken over, my freezer is half full, my cupboards are overflowing. Need serious organising!
    - Clean kitchen store cupboard. Need space for Winter shelf (Its where I keep EVERYTHING should winter be bad :rotfl: . Its all in one place and easy to find, extra blankets, batteries, camp cooker torches etc.). I also need space for Christams food shopping.
    - Garden needs a serious tidy. Hedges, grass, weeds etc. But I think the weather will be to bad this weekend to get on with that.

I maybe lucky and not have to do the garden!

Am incredibly late posting today - it's far too tempting turning the computer on first thing if I've got plans.

Cleaned the flat this morning - did a load of washing, cleaned the bath and tidied up and hoovered whilst OH did washing up

Then did a couple of hours work - have done about 18 this week - not bad when this time last week I was supposed to do 5 this week :j it's great too as I get paid weekly with this work so next Friday will be a good boost to my bank account as my rent will come out on Tuesday.

My parents arrived this afternoon - they're staying until Sunday. Met them in town and had lunch out and did a bit of shopping (well they did ;) ) they got me a watch and some winter boots for my birthday next week :D. Then bought them back to show them our new flat and we also went out for dinner tonight too - not OS at all I know but the total lack of washing up to do is fantastic :T

Anyway better go to bed - meeting my parents tomorrow morning at their hotel and think I'm going to show them the wedding reception venue and then dad and OH are going to try on suits for wedding
