Morning everyone, just! The parents have finally left, the washing is on the line and I have now given up :(

DS's friend has come round and they have plonked themselves in the dining room, I can't put any clothes away as DH is in bed after his shift last night and DD2 is being a complete pain.

It's our wedding anniversary today (5 years) and we're off out tonight. DH bought me a copy of It's A Wonderful Life so I'm hoping to wrestle the telly away from DD2 this afternoon to sit down and watch it.

Loads of stuff needs doing, I still have a stinking cold and I just can't be bothered but I'm so bored that I may start just to ward off the boredom.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    F U Fund currently at £250

    Good news, Scuzz!!!

Lovely & sunny here at the mo, probably will disappear once I get washing done.
Have had a late start this morning, as I have just come back from a hospital appointment. The good news is that all seems okay, so (subject to results of test done today) I will no longer need to go for the check-ups!

Popped in to the super-duper-big-Tesco & Lidl as I was in the town, as well. Even bought myself a treat in Lidl: a can of ice coffee and a yogurt which was marked down to 14p!

    Afternoon everyone...

Last day of holidays , well if you don't include the weekend!
Thank goodness as well..children driving me crazy. Seem to be completely unable to entertain themselves if it isn't the tv or computer. Trying to get them outside is mission impossible! And without a car there has been very little we can do, stuck in a village with very useless or non exsistent bus service.
Oh well OH home tonight so make take kinders to the cheap seats film tomorrow morning!
One load of washing in...cooked chilli for tonights chilli lasagne and hoovered through. Just got to put lasagne together and stick some bleach down the loo. There's probably at least another load of washing if I look hard enough!
Oh paid off a bit more of the credit card.... :T

    Hello everyone.
I haven't posted much recently but I'm off work today with DS so I thought I'd check in. Yesterday we (DS and I) decided we would stay in our PJ's until at least lunchtime so here we both are, in PJs dressing gowns and slips. Later we have to get dressed to go to optician's appointment. I want to make a chocolate marble cake later and DS always enjoys cooking so that should be OK. Will be having chicken and something for tea later on when OH comes home from work. Must remember to get it out of freezer!
Weather is bright, sunny and breezy here so when washing is finished it will be put out on the line to dry. Usually I dry indoors but it smells so much better dried inthe fresh air. I want to photograph and list a load of DS's grown-out-of clothes today as well whilst we have some daylight. Then I will list them which is a bit of a pain but should be worthwhile in the long run.
I need to get some cleaning done too. I have some vinegar and bicarb. Here I come!!!!!!!!!!!

    Have a great day everyone!

Cleaned the place until is squeaks, everywhere is spotless and will remain so until 3:30:rolleyes: Three loads of washing (all bedlinen) blowing in the sun, I love the smell of sheets that have been dried outside. Kitchen floor is drying and the hoover cooling.

Mrs MATH finished her temp work today but has an interview for another temp job on Tuesday to take her up to Christmas. There seems to be an abundance of admin work available but it only pays a couple of quid an hour over min wage and is deathly boreing as Mrs MATH is used to being a bit of a mover and a shaker (which bits move and which shake I couldn't possibly post here:p ). We are currently topping up the £1500 shortfall in her salary with redundancy money which won't last forever so hopefully something better will come along soon. If anyone has a well-paid job for a 40 something, outgoing, I'll wear anything as long as it's pink, bossy-boots, PM me:D

Got a busy weekend planned, Mrs MATH is out most of tomorrow running a card making workshop which she hopes is going to be sold out. I'm on taking the Kidz off to gymnastics for 9am duty:eek: far too early for a Saturday IMO. Grandparents to visit and some fun church events for the kids as an alternative to trick and treating to go to and if the weather stays fine plenty of cutting down and weeding in the garden.

Whatever you're doing have a good one - luv MATH

  • FrankieM well done on the credit card ! And Scuzz you must be so relieved, good news about your sis.
I've been to Aldi and done the weekly shop, I cant believe how my shopping bill is going down! I keep expecting to start running out of things, but I haven't so far. Did the finances last night, I had a heavy couple or shopping days yesterday and day before, was a bit scared to tot it all up, hence the late hour as had been putting it off but I was so glad I did! Despite the fact I've bought boots, party shoes and trainers for the kids, brownie uniform, clothes for me,a halloween fancy dress costume for one of DD's, a new fab book from Borders (Joyce Grenfell) and even new outfits for the bears I seem to be supporting at the Teddy Bear shop, and absolutely no Xmas pressies at all,
I've broken even. Received this months credit card bill yesterday and there was nothing at all on it, and the money for this months shopping sprees is in the bank waiting for the bill to arrive. Its all down to careful bugeting made possible by finding this site. Anyway despite not going to bed until 1.30 this morning, I woke up feeling really happy.
We are off soon to see "Disney on Ice" at the National Indoor Arena, so not much O/Sing today, but Im planning a cooking and baking day for tomorrow as Mr Pea and DD's are off on a (free) trip to the safari park.

    Hi all

A late post for me today, as I have been spending the day doing all the chores I loathe. I have sorted and defrosted two freezers, and cleaned the fridge. I just have the oven to do but I can feel that being left until next week. And then just when I thought I had finshed for the day, whilst I was unloading the tesco online shop into the freezers & cupboards my dd2yo emptied a pot of yogurt drink all over the sofa:eek: .
So I've just washed the covers and they're blowing in the wind and used the time whilst they were washing to give the rest of the sofa a good hoovering and wash down.

I haven't even got round to think ing about tea yet, so I think it will be Chicken a la suprise:confused: .

I managed to spend just under £250.00 ion food and household stuff last month and the new month starts today for us. I'm hoping to bring that down a bit more this month hopefully to around £200.00. This is for a family of 6 so after spending around £500-600, in the past I'm really pleased.
My online shop today came to108.00 including the delivery charge, and that is all the meat, cleaning stuff, storecupboard stuff and lots of frozen veg etc.I willl just need to top up with some milk and fresh fruita/veg.

I have another 18.67 to add to my pin savings as I used a vouvher and a couple of bogof/miltibuys on things I usually use.

have a good weekend every one. I shall be at work some of the time, but I love it as it gives a bit of variety to the week.

You have to make time to watch It's A Wonderful Life!!! I used my pigsback points to order a copy and it came this week. I thought it was great and even my 19 year old nephew sat and watched it with me.

    Hi All,

Viewers have been and gone, not expecting anything good to come outofthat one. You can read them sometimes and these WERE NOT IMPRESSED. Its a pain really as I am now telling myself we wont sell until some timein the new year, people are watching their pennies for xmas. Its a real shame as we went on the market in Feb

I am sick sick sick ofl iving in limbo, half in boxes and half not. A near constant cleaning frenzy in order to be OK for the next round of viewings.

Thats enough feeling sorry for myself. Sometimes you just need a good old winge doncha :D

In any case its good to know that when I wake tomorrow I will not have clean up the house. Am going to try and get a couple of hours to myself (will prob end up with DD2 at least) and sort out last bits for stepdaughter sbirthday.

Off to try and figure out what on earth to have for tea!
