Crikes Jane, thats awful for you. Makes my babbling on about ebay and door hangers and kids pale into significance. Hope OH is ok now.
I've been looking at some of the 'freebies' on different sites - stuff you can make from bits around the house -trouble is, some of the bits and pieces I don't have.....................lol
Thought I'd pick a site with stuff for kids to make (easy enough for me then I thought)
Saw somewhere, can't remember where now, a jar of pickled bums.............:rotfl: involving old tights, cotton wool and a jar............might have a go at that. My grandson would laugh his socks off................:rotfl:Mary

My mum in law used to make little dolls like the bums, they were called Stumpkins. My kids still laugh at grandma describing to me how to make them especially the part where she would say " and then you sew the seperation line" that phrase is still a family joke even amongst those who weren't even born at the time but just heard it from siblings.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Just a quick thought - for those of us who can't knit [arthritis, RSI etc] if you're intereseted, as I am, in felted woollen items - could we BUY/acquire old knitted cardis etc, hot wash and spin them, then cut it up to use as felted wool? I only ask as I'm not a skilled crafter, but I've shrunk/felted many a jumper in the past!!!If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!0
