sammy - you seem so organised. Good luck with the certificate. You did well to get back that far. How long did it take you ? I've been doing mine for about 7 years now and got back as far at late 1600s but only because I found contacts/relatives who had more info than I could ever have got.
Hi hun
Have been a bit illusive form my own thread lately - but am back now
just ordered bf a christmas present on Amazon today with gift vouchers i had managed to collect - had to pre order but it should be here in september so thats one thing done - im hoping i will be able to get him his wheels if i can pick up a few extra shifts at work once little one has gone to school because one extra 7 hour shift for me (which id be working will bring me in £40 a shift for each extra shift i do) so hoping his wheels wont be too much of a stretcha dn i think that would make his christmas if he came in and saw them sat under the tree.
Also managed to get the birth certificate for my mother in laws dad - cost me a fiver but mother in law knows as i had to double check details and she asked me to teach her how to use it so we should be doing it together hopefully. Plus at some point i will have to go and fill her details in too which reminds me she gave me a name earlier so must fill that in on my tree for her.
Mary - my mother in laws tree (baring in mind i started with only her death certificate and no other info) took me only 5 months to do and that was her mums mums side and her mums dads side too. i get very addicted to things though so am looking forward to getting cracking on this with her now once all the kids are back in school.Time to find me again0 -

This peg rack thingy for your grandson Mary--what about little dolly bags hanging from them so he can put his ear phones, phone charger, mp3 etc in them? Might that work?
Seeing as I'm sat here surrounded by wires for all of the above & then some, I'm contemplating making one for the computer corner now....
Anyone got Santa's e-mail so we can ask for a postponement this December

Thats an idea BMF to hang all his gadgets on.......not so sure he'd want to put them in dolly bags though unless I could concoct some trendy 'male' looking ones...........oh............just had a thought............I sent about for some fabric samples from the freebies board -was going to use them for cards but maybe not. ! Some are grey, blue, & beige -I could use one as a 'pocket ' on his door hanger and the others to make holders for his mp3 etc. with a little luggage type label on each one (just so he knows what I mean otherwise he'll think Nans lost the plot total..........................lol
Thanks for that.............needed some cheering up..............our oldest lad went into the city today to cash his pay cheque (got sacked yesterday) -he owes us some money he promised us today and now has rung up to say he's lost his money and all his ID and has gone back to the bus station to see if its been handed in...........he's got a hope.......! So, I was really mad, mad, mad:mad: Ooops..............gone totally off 'craft' topic..........rant over..................lolMary
