our dunelm mill sells it for £4.99 metre plain and a bit more for patterned but it is really wide double width i think over 2 metres anyway

I bought navy to make all my pram blankets (DS now 7)i just cut it and used a long zig-zag stitch to catch the hem ....................my point is they still look like new no fraying or anything .

Grandad has one for his afternoon snooze and we have some for "poorly blankets" when kids are ill

I am decorating the 7 yr olds room soon and they do camoflage too thinking of doing reversible quilt covers with it

Shaz, never thought of Dunn Elm, there's one nearish here so will go and have a look, thank you! :D

Don't forget Ikea for fleece throws.
this one is blue at £1.59. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00070489 I also got white, red, black. Sure there was other colours too. I know it's only plain but you could do one of each colour front and back. At £3.18 per blanket it has to be worth thinking about?

These blankets whilst being cheap do show they are cheap. They are not very thick, however they do wash well and are quite big! .... We have one which we use as a floor mat, basically we put one of 2 down every morning and put the little ones toys on, just gives the carpet a bit of protection from juice being dripped, baby sick, food being trodden in etc.

We used to do that with DS1, standards slipped with DS2 and as a result our carpet in the living room is wrecked!

My first I didn't bother with ... had the whole attitude that kids make mess and I can clean it up later ... but since moving in with my OH he is very fussy .... Can you tell he is a first time dad!
