I love those memo boards...oh dear another thing I want to add to the list of things I want to make!

I was about to attempt to draw an Eddy when my wii fit stock alert page went off and in a huge frenzy I managed to get one ordered for my mum. I then had a long convo over the phone with her where she screamed and then we had to double and triple check we had it hehe.

Anyway now about to start to draw it out...wish me luck.

Thank you all for the lovely comments.
I used a corkboard with a frame, the kind that you poke those little pins in, I bought it from Martins the newsagents for £1.99 I can only use what I have or can get here which is very little. I would think a white board would work too, y'know the ones you use with the wipe off marker pens. The lady in the video uses a canvas. I didn't have batting so I used a part of a fleece blanket instead. I used black fleece for the front cover (if you have a cotton fabric this would be better as fleece does get dusty but it's all I had) I can't remember how much ribbon I used but I do know it was a lot more than I thought it would be. Don't forget a little bit extra if it will be your means of hanging the board too. I just used two nails in the wall and hung it flat so to speak. You can always cover the back too if you wanted just to tidy everything up.
I forgot to say do pull the ribbon tight (know this with my own experience), and when I did the ribbon I did it diagonal from corner to corner first. I found this much easiear as I was able to judge the gaps better, if you can do it by eye like the lady does then it's okay but mine was all over the place.

Thanks for that Soblivion I think these will be great for mine and my boyfriend's mums as they are always so busy!

Eddy now has both his hands and am now working on his chest. This part isn't too hard at the moment, not looking forward to doing the face but am having a good time doing it!

soblivion - thanks for that. I'm a bit limited living in a small town and tend to have to get what's available but often the charity shops have material in that can be used. Cake decorating shop is brilliant for ribbon and a lot cheaper than our craft shop. So, might well have a go at this for both the grandchildren.

If you look on the freebie board there's a thread for free swatches of curtain, upholstery and other material. Might be worth getting to cover something with. Worth a look anyway. I've sent for mine:j

Sorry............don't know how to do links:confused:
