Sian - they are so cute but I think I'd need an 'idiots guide' plus pattern to have a go. Maybe next year ??Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Those of you that enjoy cross stitch - you can always make a small pattern on aida cloth, stitch the year under the pattern, then cut out around it in circle or square so the stitched pattern is in the middle, use material (i've used a velvety material and cotton and both worked well) as a backing, stitch together with loop of matching ribbon coming out of top, and leave small opening in seam in bottom and stuff, then hand stitch the small opening. Nice small simple ornament, to be used as a gift or to put on a package as an extra little gift.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

I got my blackboard paint for £3 from Wilkos, but can't find any cheap wooden hearts now!
Those felt creatures look great! My friend found a similar book with funny animals and alians and made them as a wall surround for her new babies room, think she planned to sew on velco so when the baby grows older they can play with them too.0 -
I am being very frugle this year as i have just split up with my husband.
Mum & Dad, Middle brother & Fiance - Dinner Party for max 10 people (really cheeky as it is only for the cooking & serving, they have to pay the food cost)
Youngest Brother (returning from Auz to live with parents) - Romantic night in voucher (I cook & serve a meal at my flat (the pays th food cost) & then i go & stay at mum & Dads for the night)
Best Friend & works secret santa (both have 2 kids & no time to herself) - Baby sitting vouchers
We also do secret santa for mums side of the family so that helps with the cost.
I also take any leftovers from my dinner into to work & sell it to my boss who is not the best cook, so I end up eating for free/very low cost as he has no idea of the cost & it would only go in the bin (I can't cope with the same meal twice in a row & I really struggle to cook for 1!
Merry Christmas to one & All:j:j

I noticed that Aldi will have two pairs of the fluffy socks for £2.50 on sale on Sunday. I'm going to go and get a few packs for my muffin cases.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0
