Be careful if you are using Ikea jars for cookie mixes, chutneys, jams etc as they are not airtight. I had coffee in one and it set into a lovely block as moisture got in. I am using them for my journal jars though as they look great and are really cheap but maybe pay a little more or use other jars if a good seal is important. HTHGod is good, all the time

I finally finished my scented drawer cushions for my nan and great aunt, and I'm quite pleased with them. I managed to get a bookmark out of the remaining fabric too. I'll give this to my great aunt, as my nan doesn't really read. Plus check out my first attempt at embroidery.
BTW siren I'm incredibly jealous of your cross-stitch it's so cute.
Let me know what you think.
It's my first christmas gift I've made and I know it's not exactly festive, but I've got some red gingham so I'm going to make some decorations. Determined to sort her finances!

Just popping in to share a piccie of my first cross stitch card! Its only the cross stitch for now but anyway I wanted to share. Tell me what you think!! It would have only taken me one evening to do but my OH kept interrupting me!!
this is amazing... is it hard to learn how to cross stitch? this would be useful for making cards as I do so all the time.0 -

Hi, Blackboard hearts is an idea stolen ff someone on here- buying wooden hearts, painting them with blackboard paint and using them as gift tags, I'm going to add a magnet on the back so it can be kept and stuck on the fridge. The Puzzle wreath is from a website, not sure what one sorry, I'll look later, where you paint puzzle peices green then glue them together to make a wreath and add little red dots so that the puzzle peices look like holly. The picture looked really good but mine looks terrrible so far, doubt I'll be able to give it to my nan!0
