Just been sorting out lists and have no idea what to do for OH's dad or OH's mum's OH (if that makes sense) and OH has no idea either eeek.

Got a lot to do and a lot to buy but I always feel a bit better after doing lists and for a couple of people I am pretty much done, just need to get the basket and set it up and wrap it

  • Another newbie to this thread and have just spent a good hour or more reading through the different ideas!! So many I want to try out thats for sure..so far i've made up a few cross stitch xmas cards and i'm trying out making some plush toys. Also, been experimenting with polymer clay today - thinking about making some jewellery items for some family.

Definately gonna give the pots of gold and retro sweetie hampers a go - they look great!

thanks everyone for their ideas and willingness to share :D x
2015 - I am determined to lose at least 3 stone in weight and I must pay off at least one of my credit cards...If I keep telling myself, I might start believing it!!! :D

    98jdougl - A2 sheet !!! Crikey - I'd have to have a lie down after that !

crazychatter - your list is long enough as well - keeps making me think I've forgotten something ! -mind you, looking in my spare room I've a feeling by the time its all sorted into relevant piles I just might have forgotten an awful lot !!

Got nothing done today due to dreadful nights sleep and waking up with migraine ............. Knocked me out for most of the day - even managed to burn the pizza for me and our lads tea.......................lol

  • i went and bought 30 flannels today from wilkinsons to make reindeers, went next door to tesco and they would only sell me 6 bars of soap as they are not allowed (appently) to sell more than this of any product to 1 customer, so i went to asda and bought 30 bars of their 18p baby soap no questions asked.
due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

I found a couple of bargains for some pots of gold - T J Hughes were doing bags of chocolate money for 99p BOGOF and Tescos are doing 2 200g boxes of Ferrero Rocher for £5.50 as opposed to £3.27 each

I also picked up these bottle boxes from Matalan in their 3 for 2 offer. 6 in total for £5.00PA020026.JPG. Planning to use them for home made selection boxes for neices and nephews.

Loved the sound of this, but ground coffee isn't the same as instant coffee is it? I thought you used ground coffee in a coffee maker, a bit like making tea with tea leaves. Do you think it should be instant coffee instead, what did you use last year?

I checked with SugarSpun who is the OP of the receipe and she said to go with Instant incase people don't have a cafetiere. But that has given me the idea of buying my OH a cafetiere as part of his gift so I think I'll go for ground.

Oooo I love these! My sister had to forciby remove one from my grasp last weekend! I really wanted one to keep for myself but I'm supposed to be cutting down buying myself random things and I couldn't come up with a good enough idea of what I would use it for fast enough! I'm hoping that she will buy me one for Christmas though!

Went shopping again last night, really have to stop!! I got lots of Ikea gingerbread hearts to ice and make into a garland for our work party and also plan to use for gift tags. I also got lots of other things but I can't remember what! not good!! the excitement of christmas is making me drift back in my old shopaholic ways!

    xx
