yeah had a bit of a brain wave in that i may use this fake spray snow instead - jsut because paint could be a bit tricky to get it dried and talc can easily be moved and i want them to stay in place for him to see them.
    Time to find me again

Would good old bicarb work for Santa's footprints, then you need not worry about pets sniffing at it...or even dried tea leaves if you fancy a 'muddy' look instead? I went to a living museum & apparently the maids used tea leaves & bicard to sweep the carpets to help remove the less savoury smells.

    welcome magic

adn thank you all for the help with finding minatures - have jsut found a good site that sells jsut minatures but they also sell packs fo things to make up specific cocktails so think a clever chat ont he phone and mentioning of them might bring up which ccktails she lieks more then i cna include them in the basket too

does anyone else know anythign else i cna put in it?? Ive just bid on a cocktail shaker on Ebay so i have that and will have minatures and i have a book of cocktail recipes - anything else????????????

Hi Sammy Kaye dont know if it,s any help but I popped into Asda yesterday and I managed to pick up a Funky cocktail set, it contains little umberellas, straws, drink stirrers, shaped ice cubes and bottle stoppers. It was only £2.50 thought I might make a cocktail hamper for my son at Uni as that seems to be all him and his mates do.....lol

My BIL did santa footprints a couple of years ago using talcum powder by sprinking it and then walking through it with his boots on. Might be easier to hoover up than flour and would act like shake n vac :rotfl:

That's what my Dad did when I was little... thing is, I thought Santa was still there and wouldn't go downstairs until my parents proved he'd gone!! I thought I wasn't going to get any presents if I'd seen him!!

Can anyone think of anywhere that sells just plain chocolates wrapped in black wrapping with 'tails' (for my xmas wreaths) also any plain silver, gold and browns?
  • Thank you for the warm welcome!

brookeslay thanks for the link to the Johnson's dreamy range website, they'd look great in my sisters sleep hamper as would Lavender bath bombs/salts 98jdougl recommended.

I'm a little in awe of everyone's crafting talents on here though, the finished products look amazing and have a very professional, high quality look to them.

Thanks for the encouragement mary43 I'm sure your right about my family appreciating my efforts even though they won't be quite up to everyone else's standard, but practice makes perfect, as they say!

My DH says I'm the queen of list making, I just have to be a bit more organised and keep my craft and xmas lists in one book for easy reference.

Love the Santa footprint idea sammy-kaye18. I may end up doing this for my DH's benefit, he's still a child at heart, lol! I bought some bicarb from Asda last week for about 49p, don't know if that's the cheapest around though?!

Thanks soblivion, you're right my list will keep me fairly busy and as a novice crafter they may take me longer to make than I think.

Sorry I haven't any advice to give as yet, will keep my ear to the ground though.

    Best wishes to all! :A

Magic Mishkin - I'm sure your handiwork will be really good. This is really the first year I've done a lot of stuff and thankfully (saves my embarassment) I don't have the hi tech stuff to show piccys....................lol
Still, I've enjoyed doing the bits and pieces - I know my sons will (they;re quite used to having 'different' kind of pressies - just hoping teenage grandkids will enjoy it all. It's all a bit of fun and if it makes them chuckle - well who cares if they think their nans lost the plot...............:rotfl: might just make them get excited about what they might get next year.......lol

maria - think I'd better let my son know about the santa's footprints for baby grandson............so I'll be looking for a reminder as well
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
