shaz - you'll do it easily.........half way there already.

All I've done this afternoon is sort out Snowman Soup labels and Magic Reindeer food labels for baby grandsons christmas eve box of stuff he has to do so he'll get pressies..............lol
Just need some smallish plastic tubs now to put the porridge/glitter in and chocolate mix. Already got the christmas plate left over from last year for the mince pie and on the gettingpersonal web site there's a santa plate with a rhyme on it...............oh eck forgotten it, think its words to the effect

Santa -here's a mince pie for you, carrots for your reindeer
PS - I've really been good this year

That means I'll have to put some carrots in as well.....................lol

  • Hi All!!

My chutney is simmering as I speak and the house smells absolutely wonderful. Just need to leave it for another hour and I can then hopefully jar it up. Can't wait to try it in a months time!!

My cookie jar experiment i am using half the recipe (twinks hobnobs ) with 50g white choc chips and 50g dried cranberries added

i want to replicate this posh one off the net

    cookiesinajar.jpg

Heres my offerring i really needed a slightly bigger jar(this was mayo jar) and next time will put the fruit further down and finish with the oats as there is so much

    cookies001.jpg

and of course the finished result

    cookies003.jpg

It was dead easy as long as your careful putting in the flour or you get a flour coated jar

I am going to attatch a label with instructions and the full recipe for the next time ...................there will be a next time they were lush

easy idea for teachers at christmas or as part of a baking gift set

    Shaz

that looks fab. where will I find the recipe? Am planning to do a trial soon in case I need plenty of practice:rotfl:

  • Hi All!

Jarred up my chutney last night. It made 3 big jars and 2 little ones which is just what I wanted. Just have to leave it to mature for a month and me and the OH are going to try it with some nice mature cheddar. :D
Once I have made up some pretty labels I will take some piccies for you!

Thanks Shaz_mum_of_2, I've just made these with my DD, they turned out great! Really yummy :D Glad I took your advice and only used half the amount of ingredients, there are plenty for the 3 of us.

  • I have made my first official Christmas present. One of the shadow boxes from Home Bargains with a picture of my nephew and I did it like a scrapbooking page, really enjoyed doing it. I'll have to get a web photo album. Have been getting distracted by scrapbooking though this weekend :D
