Ooh, that does look good! There are lots of crab apples near our house so I might try the recipe using them if I can collect enough.

Thats sounds really nice nemo toad! There are some lovely recipes on that site and their blog is a good read as well.

I'm debating taking a jar in my handbag when I go shopping tomorrow to see if I can find lids to fit hehe.

Hehe I haven't seen anywhere near here but I went to visit my mum and someone was selling bags of them outside their house so I grabbed a couple! Just need to find some lids soon else it will have to be apple pies instead

It's like a drive by apple robbery by the sounds of things.

I'm sure what you mean is that you carefully and responsibly picked up the bags so as not to damage the apples and then paid for them

I have a bag of apples in the boot of my car, not sure that is a permanent solution though so need to work out a recipe, don't really want more chutney though, can you make apple jam?

Hi, I am a regular reader to this thread although I do not post, but thought the following might be of use to some people here.

I have just discovered you can exchange Tesco vouchers for entry tokens to the NEC Hobbycrafts show. Check out the New Deals if you are interested. I didn't think I would be going, but now I know this I will try and persuade OH to take me again. I usually spend too much and need to be more careful this year.

Hehe I can imagine! I do have a black and white striped jumper so all I need is the mask and swag bag!! :whistle:

My cookie jar experiment i am using half the recipe (twinks hobnobs ) with 50g white choc chips and 50g dried cranberries added

i want to replicate this posh one off the net



Heres my offerring i really needed a slightly bigger jar(this was mayo jar) and next time will put the fruit further down and finish with the oats as there is so much



and of course the finished result



It was dead easy as long as your careful putting in the flour or you get a flour coated jar

I am going to attatch a label with instructions and the full recipe for the next time ...................there will be a next time they were lush

easy idea for teachers at christmas or as part of a baking gift set
