I have just finished my advent calneder I made from matchboxes from an idea on ukscrappers (apologies if someone already posted this) cost me £1.24 in matchboxes (will not have to buy matches for several years now!) plus some card from a cereal packet for the base and lid, offcuts of paper and some cheapo papermania brads for the drawer handles. My little lad is thrilled with it.

Now I'm in a quandry--do I sign up to access the site Suzi recommends, or resist all temptations to save on electricity viewing even more sites :D More than that--if I look thru a site with loads of new ideas of things to make, will I have the time to actually make them :rotfl:

  • Hi All!

Sorry I wasn't on at all yesterday but I had a bit of an accident! I was in our en suite yesterday morning, getting ready when I started to feel faint. I shouted out to my OH as I tried to get back to the bed (I've done this so many times I know the drill hehe)
Next thing I know my OH is shaking me awake and I'm on the floor of the en suite between the toilet and the wall. Turns out I had lost conscious fallen back and landed there. In doing so I managed to crush a loo roll with my head and smashed our bin with my back!

I'm not in a good way I've got a bump on the side of my head where I hit it on the wall, bashed my elbow on the loo seat (which was the OH heard!!) and have a huge (round bin shaped!) bruise and several cuts over my back. But to top it off as I fell into a corner when my head hit the wall my neck snapped up and I've ripped the ligaments in the right side of my neck and now have whiplash like pain and can't move my head!

It looks like any crafting is off for now (although I can do a little cross stitch so it was good I picked one up on Saturday!) Oh well such is life!!

Thought I would share a picture of the carnage I caused so you can have a giggle!!

Gods, Siren, that looks like a really nasty accident!

I have a scar on my forehead from fainting in the bathroom - I was having a nosebleed and looked in the mirror - all the blood on my face made me feel dizzy, and the next thing I was flat on my back on the floor, having hit my face on the towel hook on the way down.

I recommend a bag of frozen peas for the bump on your head and no painkillers or alcohol until you can be sure you don't have concussion.

    Feel better soon!
