That's great :T - only problem is I wanted a 1948 date for the 60th birthday hamper I am doing and it only goes back to 1950 :mad:http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday
You can search the above site for events which happened on this day for any date - eg births, deaths, events in the news ...
Never mind I will save it for someone's birthday0 -
Thanks Valli - can''t imagine trawling 365 days though it might be an interesting thing to do for baby grandsons first year...........umm.......I'll think on thatl
This looks a good site for anyone looking for a load of quotes

Hi all,
need some help/advice/prodding in the right direction/suggestions or whatever!!!
I would like to do some home made/put together hampers /baskets or gifts this Christmas but dont know where to start - I am a wee bit crafty but have never considered any of my things good enough to give away!
I have a wide range to get for - 2 - 96 years old so any easy suggestions would be greatly appreciated - or should I be on another thread??
Would also like to try to make my own cards but doesnt it work out dearer?
I live on benefits and always seem to spend too much and leave myself short rather than scrimp on presies.
Thanks for any help you can give
TF
p.s I am not much at cooking but might try some sweets - is fudge easy?Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Mr T's had travel stuff at £1 each today including eye masks and earplugs, might be good in a 'relaxation' or 'travel' basket
