I sprinkle my porridge with horlicks powder and then a little sugar, its delicious!!!0
-
I soak my porridge overnight in half milk, half water. I also add any of the following :
Frozen mixed berries (good for kids too as when you stir it when cooking the next morning the porridge goes purple!) with a little honey or sugar for sweetness
Chopped, dried apricots
Dried tropical fruits
Apple, cinammon and brown sugar
Jam (any flavour!)
Plain with brown sugar0 -
Thank you to everyone for your really speedy replies!
Plenty of yummy-sounding ideas for me to try there, thank you!

we have ours with
-mashed banana mixed with brown sugar stirred in half way through cooking
-grated apple and honey
-dried fruit in any combinations you have - if you put it in at the beginning of cooking it swells up and is really yummy.0 -

My boys and I love porridge. They like it nice and creamy, without sugar - I like it with:
nuts, raisins, any dried fruit
Tsp of jam (blueberry is my fav.)
Dollop of cream (sometimes).
Nothing has the ability of porridge to keep you full until, in my case, 2 pm!0 -
