Skintscotslass - that's true, I didn't think he'd have another woman. What did happen to that last one in the end? Did she and the other apprentice stay together? xx

Hugs to all who need them and to all who've given me hugs over the last few days :grouphug: and a big hello to all our newbies :hello: .

Well i got exactly naff all done today, spent most of the morning on the phone :o , picked DD2 up from school, went to lunch with DH, came home, vegged on the sofa till it was time to get DD1, made their tea then went "shopping" for DH who wanted a new external hard drive. 1000GB and 200 euros later  (when will he learn to be more MSE :wall: )

But the bonus is i got 2kg of fresh strawberries for a measly 5 euros, so good i got some for my friend and took them round.

Thought i was so good getting rid of DD2's old paddling pool, went to best friends with strawberries and came home with a purple boobah teddy thing for DD2 and a chair for DD1:eek: ! But in all fairness I was gonna buy her a chair like it from ikea so my mate saved me about 30 euros or so, so i cant complain, and it may mean less fighting over the disney princess one, as DD2 refuses to sit on the tweenies one! (but i'm keeping it as hubby sez i can get a cat when we return to UK so the tweenies beanbag can be its bed!)

thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it:rotfl:

right am knackered, so off to bed and will see you all in the morning, heres hoping i'm as bright and refreshed tomorrow as i was today and that i actually manage to get something done!

    nite nite

I kind of like the idea of living 'in the country', i am a city girl through and through though. I know what you mean about the rudeness too, if you havent lived there for 30+ years you're not welcome:rolleyes:

Are you originally from Edinburgh G&B? I thought you were a Glaswegian for some reason...;)
  • Hello everyone and :hello: confusednewbie, onedayiwill and lucifa - I only joined this week and I have got more cleaned and sorted than I have in any week for years! Mind you, I still have alot to get through!

Today I did almost nothing because I was out this morning and spent alot of this afternoon out looking for our wimpy Scottie dog who toddles off if he gets the chance and then always gets lost. Spent 2 hours looking round the area and got home to find someone had found him and put him back in the front garden.

GNB - I am jealous of you living so close to Edinburgh - I love it there. My Mum and her family come from Loch Goilhead and we always went there for summer holidays when I was little, and then about 20 years ago, when I had just finished University, I lived in Dunfermline for about 6 months but I hated it there - I was a graduate trainee in a hotel in Pitcorthy and it was a nightmare job - I left first chance I got! But I did spend all my free time getting the bus across the Forth Bridge to Edinburgh which was wonderful.

In today's Woman's Weekly they featured a website called http://www.howtocleananything.com and it is really good! It really does give tips on how to clean all manner of things!

Hope you all had a good day!
    Jane

Oh, she was from Hull, wasnt she? Michelle Dewbury? I dont think they are still together. I think she runs her own consultancy business now.

Are you watching the next programme? What on earth has Claire done to her hair??????

We definately have more Scots and Merseysiders on here than anywhere else I think ;) Does than mean we are cleaner or dirtier?

Owwww, my hands hurt!!! Forgot to say, I was a very good niece today and helped my aunt and uncle tidy up their garden after he butchered some trees/hedge things. I just put some hand cream on and its stinging my scratches.

Well, she'll get a job with Karen Brady, wont she? I thought the 2 runner ups were the sulkiest candidates and I would like to give them both a slap (can you tell AF is on her way?) :)

Welcome to all the new flyers :D
Nicki, this friend sounds like he'd make a great 'more than friend' for a bloke to have so much enthusiasm is great, well done you for saving him time and money no doubt with your help!
Mudbath I hope your bugs pack their bags and naff off soon! You local council might be able to help, I remember in the last house I noticed these tiny things on the wall one day, I got in touch with a prvaite pest control guy after the council took ages and he came straight away. They were bird mites, caused by having birds in the loft.
((hugs)) for soappie, hope you feel better in the morning.
Awww shell your little DD is such a sensitive girl isn't she, hope your toe isn't too painful
germish_se try a dehumidifier, I got one off Freecycle luckily, has helped a lot in the room with a single wall and the conservatory. You can get smaller moisture traps which might help with the wardrobe etc (I got them from the £ shop) also make sure you are airing rooms often.

Those who need rid of books/magazines, I've just parted with some at a nursing home and in a day centre. Some I was given ages ago and never got round to.

DS2s visit to his friends seemed to go very well, the little boys Mam was very pleased with his behaviour which I am pleased about. He's trashed another pair of trousers at school (5th in 8 days!!!!!) so I'm going to have a word with them tomorrow, see if they can keep an eye on what he's doing. I just can't be replacing every pair constantly. He's also almost pulled the front off the shoes I bought him last week.

CMA is now done, DPs done naff all on his, guessed them all I think. He's well and truly getting on my nerves with it now, he's always been the same with college/study, without my foot up his **** he wouldn't have got the HNC he did.

Filled in the CMA while watching The Apprentice, I am really pleased he won, ok he did a little white lie on his CV but was the most genuine and my fave since Simon :( went. Glad the gobsh*te didn't get it.

DS1s back in pull ups, he's only wet one in a week but he's so paranoid he'll wet the bed he can't sleep, talk about 2 steps forward 3 back, he'd been out of them since Christmas time. Must remember to pack 2 more as I only put enough for DS2 in the caravan.

Speaking of caravan, eeeek, 48 hours time we'll be settling to sleep in it. I'm just hoping this rain ****s off. I was planning a part lazy day tomorrow, but now I think about it we'll be sorting the caravan all day Friday so I might have to go shopping for food etc to take with us. I think I will sort with DP what he wants to do, do some sort of meal plan, I think Saturday they've all planned a BBQ if the weather stays nice.

Right, bed time, hope you all get some nice sleep, I know I plan to especially as it's cooled off a little, see you all tomorrow xxxxxx
One day I might be more organised...........

How about a Dutch girl turned Scot? Love it here, would never go back to live in Holland now.

House a mess, my head a mess, work a mess, sorry not a good rolemodel for the flylady thread!

but only two weeks and a day to go until the kids come off for the summer holidays and I finish work too and I promise my house will sparkle then! Boy, are the girls gonna have a shock when I put them to work, bad mummy that I am :T It has become quite easy for them, especially the teenager to leave their stuff everywhere,

I am trying to do at least level 1 every day, miss pigpen, honest!
