I have baked a lemon drizzle tray bake instead of the planned banana, date and cherry loaf, because someone scoffed one of the bananas I needed. Suspects are currently being interrogated...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0

I couldn't agree more. I went through secondary school being called a white settler and I'm still considered an outsider where I grew up. I was desparate to get away from Aberdeen as quickly as possible once I graduated.
Its not so bad here in Glasgow though but I too am just 10 minutes by train from the city centre.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Pigpen you could have stopped at my SIL house when you go to the Ricoh to see Bon Jovi - she lives about 10 minutes walk from the stadium and I'm sure she wouldn't have minded you and your brood lol.
Have to say I'm jealous - I saw them in MK last year and they were fab. Hope you have a great time.
Oddly enough my mothers friends live about 10 minutes walk from the stadium so we are stopping off there on the way there.. for a cuppa and a pee!! .. and I am only taking one of my brood.. and my mother and my sis!!!!!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanx for the encouragement Serena, and yes storage is good, we rent a massive house but there is no storage other than the loft where it's so damp everything we put there goes stinky and mildewy, also get mildew on my shoes in the wardrobe and in the cupboards above the wardrobes, drives me mad. Have had to throw nice things out becuse they've been ruined (always try to rescue stuff if possible).
Not sure how to fix that problem, gradually reducing the stuff I want to keep tho which is a good start.
Today I decided to carboot (next week) 3 of my 6 shelves of books, big step for me as I am a book hoarder.Over the last 5 years I have gradually got rid of i the region of 300 books that I brought over to the UK when I moved here. What insanity, eh! Now down to 1 bookcase of mine and DH's books and one bookcase for the Terrible Twosome, they only just got in to reading so I'll leave theirs for now.
Slowly getting there.

Brief post to say Thank you for all the good luck wishes. I've spent most of the day working on a 10 minutes presentation that went nowhere, then all of a sudden it clicked and took me about 20 minutes to finish it off. Apparently the other candidate who's been short listed was having the same problem! :rotfl:Anyway, the agency rep said she thinks it is fine and has covered all the points they asked for. In between, I have done a little flying, but now I'm off to bed.
So, hugs to all and goodnight, sleep well. xDMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

~shuffles in again like the old lady that I am~
So much for my early night! Still, we've been fed. Of sorts. And in stages. I am about to crash and burn myself - not because I've done anything useful, simply because I can and that's what I need to do!
Germish - I totally understand about the books. I can't even contemplate doing the car boot thing when I have a book cull - I'd be standing there saying 'actually, I've changed my mind - that one's not for sale....' and take 'em all back again :rotfl:
So, what I do is bundle them up and take them down the book bank at the local recycle centre - that way they go to charity and I can't get them back out again!
But I'm now off to crawl into my nice clean bed and pray I have some energy to actually get up and going tomorrow morning at 5.45am.

Serena - i've been catching them and popping then in the garden as my dad told me they were good little beasties for the garden. Can I have your recipe for the lemon drizzle cake traybake please? I've not made it for years and would like to do a big one and freeze.
Soappie...have you sent your bugs this way? I thought my hayfever was bad today but I 've realised i've got one of those lovely summer colds.
Anyone who watches the apprentice....I didn't think he'd win! xx0 -
Mudbath - when it was down to the last two, I thought he'd get it. Siralan is too scared of women going off and getting themselves pregnant. He wasnt going to risk another woman in her 30s...0
