A badge is different from a t shirt. And the shoes thing, how does one not realize one is not wearing work shoes?

Are you deliberately being dim or does it come naturally?

Wow is he doing CampUSA? I did that 10 years ago and loved it sooo much:j
Nope. He is staying with some good friends of ours. They have teens the same age, a large family business and plenty of toys like quad bikes and stuff.

Was it? We're talking about one time, but have we been told that this hasn't happened regularly, it's just as wrong to assume it's one way than to assume it's the other.

As for Altarf "making it up" about being late...that was at least a reasonable assumption to make based on the evidence (as opposed to the above situation where there's no evidence either way)
It is logical to assume that someone who misses a bus that takes them 5 miles to work and then walks the 5 miles will be late. People tend to go to work a little early, but not the difference between a 5 mile bus journey and 5 mile walk early.
the op said he had a choice of walking 5 miles or getting the bus which previous posts have stated are once in a blue moon, i know what i would do and it sure as heck doesn't involve a 5 mile walk.

plenty of people in places like mc'd 's and shops take their uniform with them, get changed there and get changed again before going home/wherever, people did it all the time where i used to work, we worked in retail and things break, spill and make a mess all the time, if personnel refused us loan of a clean top every time it happened they would have to have sent us home, which for someone like me was a total of an hour in the car, which they wouldn't have wanted. the worse they would have done is provide wrong size or an out of date promo t-shirt which normally would not be acceptable but cos they sanction it they can't moan about it.
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)

I was simply stating that it takes longer to walk 5 miles than drive/get the bus 5 miles, it is therefore much more likely that someone will be late if they miss the bus. In addition I didn't suggest he should have walked anyway.

Considering the largest part of your post has absolutely nothing to do with what i said, perhaps quoting someone else would have been more apt.

But the reason why they don't is because you actually have a minority view.

If being in a minority means I like food that isn't processed fatty junk (high in sugar and salt) then I'm happy to be a minority. See the McLibel case for more details.

It may be processed fatty junk, high in sugar and salt - but it sure is delicious.

Delicious if you've eroded your senses through exposure.
