Welcome to LilMil - you'll like it here!
(((Hugs))) to Scuzz's Mum.
Martyn - good to hear from you and please post your happiness - we know not all men have questionable parentage! We have wished happiness on you and love to hear how well things are going for you! I can't believe you're the same person! Keep the 'jumping for joys' coming in!
Well, I feel a bit better after a snooze; DH got called out on an emergency to a friend with a leaky pipe - he's not a plumber but good at fixing things, but he's been gone a long time so they've either had a couple of beers or the problem is worse than they thought!
Anyway, I need a cup of tea so I'm off to put the kettle on.
See you all later.

Afternoon all,
Went for a walk throught the woods, which was lovely as its so hot here today, and the trees provide shade and a good breeze, came home had dinner and an ice cream, pottered around in the garden, done a couple of loads of washing, then leg was starting to ache, so I went up on the bed and elevated it, I will have to keep an eye on it, as its been painfill today, and seems to be swelling. Beemuzed, my dog would never intentionally bite anyone either, she is such a softie, I just got in the way, I will phone Dr in the morning re jabs etc, thanks all for the sympathy.
Kathy hope you feel better soon, Hugs to Pen pin , beth, smoky and all in need.

Good afternoon all :hello:
I've been visiting Grandma this weekend. She's in respite care (I'm getting like my mum by repeating myself ) and WAS hating it. Anyway, yesterday she said that time seemed to fly in there! When we took her into the dining room to be with her fellow "inmates" (as my brother calls them) they were all telling me how lovely she was. My dad's name is still mud though, but I sent a text to my mum today to report that if Grandma tells them that she's hated every minute then she's lying.
I think one night they're watching a Daniel O'Donnell video............. the only way is up! My brother has been doing a good job of schmoozing and flirting with all the 80+ yr old ladies.
For lunch we've been over at DH's parents. It's his birthday tomorrow, so his nephew (aged 3) gave him a mug that says "Favourite Uncle" - as his big sis said, it's nephew's ONLY uncle.:rotfl: DH has requested chilli con carne for supper tomorrow night, so I'll have to get a portion out of the freezer.
I've just got through a list of concerts that I can volunteer at for the town's "International Music Festival". The lady who organises it is also in charge of the Box Office at the cinema that I volunteer for, so she's roped me in to assist. Not that I mind as it means that I get free tickets for the things that I steward for.
DH has just treated the garden with "weed and feed", so I will have to ask him about his bravery etc. That is if he doesn't mind me talking to him during the grand prix.

Afternoon all
Started this nice sunny day making a dent in the ironing mountain. Then I cooked roast lamb and all the trimmings for dinner. After clearing up I sat out on the patio with a book, just got settled when the bloke next door decided to get the flymo out. Couldnt concentrate with the noise so went in. He finished eventually so went outside again. He then decided to go into his garage which is attached to ours and beat nine bells out of his drum kit that he keeps in there grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Got a bit of peace eventually
Makes a change to have some nice weather at the weekend, it's been so miserable for so long.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone - Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee0 -
Sunny sunny Suffolk here.
We've been out to the Italian for a meal to celebrate my brithday tomorrow (you have no idea how many times I have corrected this small amount of typing) - have had several glasses of lovely dry crisp and might go and have a lie on the settee with Ian Rankin now.
Have a lovely remainder of the day all

Feeling very proud of myself - my first ever roast chicken is going very well:D
Also the mississippi mud cake is cooking - that'll be ready to come out of the oven in half an hour. Not a low fat recipe - it has 15oz sugar, 9oz butter and 5.5oz chocolate:eek: Ah well, a little treat now and then:rolleyes:Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
