Hi again
Sorry you're not feeling great Mioliere I will be kind and not expand on the "thick head" condition. Don't worry I will volunteer to waffle for the world on your behalf for today.
Chalky - are you also finding that you are struggling to fit in everything you want to do/and go? I think we had more time when we were working.
Bit overcast here today but still 22, though the sun keeps trying to break through. Not too worried as waiting for the French Open Tennis Mens Final to start. I'd like Federer to win, but think Nadal is too good on Clay. Then later we have the GP.
Catch you all soons :grouphug: all round.

Waffling that may be but "Mioliereing" it isn't
Afternoon all.
I was going to tell you all just how happy I am of late since I met "mi Julie" but having read the thread, I'm not sure anyone wants to hear it. There seems to be a lot of sadness and anger out there about EXOH's but can I say that not all men were born "out of wedlock"? (phew, cleaned that up well  )
If it cheers anyone up, I haven't been this happy for a loooooooooong time and it feels like I've found what I've always been looking for :jLBM: 12.2.08.Debt-free as of July '09 :j and determined not to go there, ever again :mad:DFW Nerd Club #902 Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
Hi - Donny - I knew I was asking for trouble calling it a 'thick' head but that's the only way to describe it! Feel free to waffle!
Chalky - my favours are being made out of circles of net and organdie and I'm putting off the cutting out! Tomorrow I'm off to buy a dozen metres of hot pink and gold ribbon, the narrow type (as long as my local haberdasher's has enough!) and I shall order the 'Just Married' love hearts from eBay. I have a plan of sorts - it's just making a start that's the problem!
Right now, though, I'm off to get horizontal on the sofa and try and turn my thick head into an intelligent one!
See you all later.

Hello all
What a different day to yesterday ! Sun shining, blue skies.........been to the boot fair at the top of the road, it was packed with people and so hot I didn't see it all but came home with a plant and a teddy.................lol
No great plans today except trying to get hold of my son or his girlfriend to find out roughly when they'll be getting here on Wednesday with baby grandson and what he's eating now...........its his birthday on Thursday, first one. Been a long time since I had anything to do with a year old baby..........do they have a cake or shall I get some sort of trifle and pop a pooh bear on top of that ???
Oh well..........they'll answer their missed calls eventually...........I hope.............lol
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((((:o )))))))))))to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hello everybody :hello:
Had a lovely time yesterday at Glyndebourne. My friend and I discovered we were going the same day as two other friends, and as it turned out, we all had adjacent seats! Opera was pretty good, despite the reviews having been rubbish; weather was lovely, and my picnic salads went down so well that I have been told I always have to do the picnic from now on :rolleyes:They especially liked my Greek salad (I had a bit left over and have just polished it off for my lunch).
catowen/redruby etc - i get around the men issue by avoiding them altogether - they tend to make pretty good friends, I've found, but I prefer not to complicate my life by having one "on the scene"Who knows, maybe there's a Mr Right out there for all of us, but TBH I'm too busy and too impatient (and too happy as I am) to fancy going through the palaver of sifting out the Mr Wrongs first
redruby, I've got some goodies for youCould you PM or email me an address I can send them to?
Need to go out soon as I have a short choir concert this evening. Normally I would have prepared something (cake or sandwiches) for our shared buffet between the rehearsal and concert, but haven't had time, so will have to stop off en route and let M&S relieve me of a fiver :eek:I have really given up on this week, it's been a bit of a financial meltdown as regards my general disposable cash. I spent so little last week that I started this week with almost two weeks' worth of dosh, and have STILL managed to bust the budget (or at least I will have done when I've bought a cake and been out for a beer after the concert!) On top of that I spent nearly £50 at the dentist, including travel expenses to get there, and had an impulse buy on Friday at Bravissimo of two dresses from their new catalogue, the cost of which I am not going to admit to
Am seriously reining myself in over this coming week, not least because my alcohol consumption has been going the same way as my expenditure! So am on a financial and alcoholic detox for the next few days.
Right, off now or will be late for choir... ((((hugs)))) if you need them.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Hi All
I have been lurking here and on the Mortgage Free thread for months and have decided to take the plunge and post just to say thanks for all the great OS tips I have picked up such as how to deal with a smelly sink, curry queen's wonderful curry and meal planning.
Thanks

Afternoon all. After the really cold feel to yesterday today is lovely and warm. Have been to church and done some washing. BM is on....and I've been snoozing! I am such a lazy wotzit - just can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything at weekends. DH reckons it's old age!!! Still, I have a "to-do" list as long as my arm, and I can't leave it all for the summer holidays! DH has gone flying with a friend, so the pot-roast is going to have to just get turned down low until he returns.
Mioliere, hope you feel better soon. Redruby, my leg aches in sympathy having had something similar happen years ago when our puppy snapped at my parents' dog and bit my leg instead! The puppy was clearly horrified at what he's done and hid his head in disgrace! Poor thing, he'd never have knowingly hurt any of us!
Martyn, glad you sound so happy these days.
Mary43 hope you enjoy your gradson's birthday when it comes! I never thought being a grandma would prove so much fun - I really do love it when DGD is around!
((HUGS)) to all who need one today.
Welcome to Lilmil!Resolution:

Sorry I've been rubbish at getting on here lately, but there's good news for that - my freelance work has really picked up, so working in the evenings towards that:T There are some very exciting possibilities in the pipeline, so fingers crossed
Completed Race for Life this morning in 37 minutes, which is 30 seconds quicker than last year:T Think I'll have raised around £100 which is what I was aiming for.
Just booked the holiday apartment for my trip to Spain in September. So got the flights and car to go. Have lots of friends over there, so it should be a great week.
Mum's badly sprained the tendons in her arm, so she's not allowed to do anything for 10 days. I've got to stuff the chicken for dinner in a minute and get the veggies peeled. Might make a cake too
Oh the 70p in my purse from ages ago is still there with nothing else added or taken away!!:T
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
