    • Opened the account on 16th
    • 17th sent chq for £1
    • Email confirmation that account open on 21st
    • 23rd chq debited from acct
    • 24th Account password came through
Took about a week to open, password is very faint on slip, though managed to work it out.

Will test a transfer to the account to see how it goes..

ICICI just got my vote. I transfered £x from Egg Money on Wednesday 21st June to my current account, it will take 7/10 working days. At the same time I transfered £x from ICICI. It was in my current account on Friday morning 23rd June. British banks are having a laugh at our expence with the time it takes to transfer cash.

I've had my account for several months now.
    It's brilliant.
The web site loads quickly and just displays what you need; no frills.
The interest rate speaks for itself.
Transactions to and from your linked account are rapid.
I've had no problems at all.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

I think this account is fantastic and it does what it says on the tin - plus really fast online transfers and easy to use site. UK banks better catch up!

Is there any difference from logging into the ICICI account and pulling your money from your nominated account or logging onto the nominated account and transferring money over to the ICICI account ? Hope that makes sense !

If you pull your money from within ICICI it is transferred by direct debit, meaning it will not be debited from your linked account until the date it is credited to ICICI (normally 4 working days). If you push the money from your linked account, it will be sent by BACS, meaning it will be debited immediately, but not credited to ICICI for another 3 working days. So, if your linked account pays a good rate of interest it's probably better to use ICICI to do the transfer so you don't lose out on any interest, but if not it is slightly quicker to send the money from your linked account.

It's quicker letting ICICI take the control.
