    Its raining again, I dont think I am going to see any butterflies this year as I dont think they will come out in the rain I'm sure its getting late for them maybe I will plant different plants next year. Any thoughts

    hi everybody I was looking for the thread about bees but could not find it so I have put them on here

    I have seen a few butterflies but here are some pictures of bees that I took today

    I think you should have used a faster shutter speed

    Background is in focus, so need macro. Shutter speed is OK as there's no shake.
    Digital cameras have their own reaction times, which can't be altered, so it's best to know what that is before you buy one. Mine, being five years old, is about a second. Most are now reasonably good though.

    I was playing with my camera this morning while sitting in garden enjoying this lovely sun, found digital zoom didnt know i had it (only had camera 4 years:rolleyes: )

    took a couple pics of buzzy bee that was on plant at side of me, still not seen many butterflies tho in my garden,

    Those pics are great squiggle! Wish I could take ones as good :o

    I've even considered doing a basic course in photography to learn how to use my camera properly :rotfl:

    i just pointed and clicked and hoped for the best good job you didnt see all the other pics first...im hopeless when it comes to technical stuff. It helped a little bit as i found instructions that came on the screen.

    out there in the garden today WOW loads of them it's a sign the buddlija are in flower and the sun is out,is everyone else seeing plenty?

    Just cabbage whites today, but loads of brown ones in the Forest of Dean last weekend and dozens a few weeks ago at a nature reserve near Stroud. (My buddlejas (spell it how you like -they'll change it again in a year or two!) are out, but not much action in the garden yet.

    Seen lots of cabbage whites too over the weekend, as well as the usual red admirals on the hebes, but earlier this evening I was mesmerised by a little powder blue flutterby darting amongst the flowers in my patio pots. I've seen them before but the name escapes me.
