i add roasted veges - things like roasted onion, peppers, courgette. I add garlic puree.

Its also good with the other flavoured stock cubes. Or you can spice it up with middle eastern spices.

It is nice with fruits like dried raisins, dates, apricots and almond slivers when cooked with 1/2 water half orange juice and 1tsp cinnamon

cooked in veg/chicken stock and roasted veggies, cinnamon tumeric and cumin etc

with shallots, sun dried toms, flat leaf parsley(or basil is nice) and even a bit of ramano cheese

with teeny bits of tomato, cucumber, peppers, onion(esp spring), with lemon juice, mint and a bit of white wine vinegar

made with chicken/veg stock and adding onions, garlic and onion powder, peas, sweetcorn and bits from a chicken carcass

I like a bit of olive oil stired through all of them and it helps keep the grains seperated if eating cold the next day :)

we love cous cous (made up with a chicken stock cube) and mixed with oven roasted peppers(red and yellow), chopped onion, garlic and chilli peppers. Serve with a fresh tuna steak. Delicious and feels really healthy when you eat it! ( I always add a bit of ketjap manis or thai sweet chilli dipping sauce once it's cooked - D/H prefers a splash of tabasco)!

If you are talking about the quick cous cous that you buy here, not the boil in a bag horrible stuff, put some in your bowl, rub just a wee bit of oil through it, then cover it with enough stock or boiling water to just cover it completely, with no more than about 1/2cm sitting on top. Cover with a tea towel, and you're done.
Do you want a nice recipe for cous cous with chicken and thyme? Dead easy?
