Update: I've got 4 potential leads for £25 now. If I can get to five then I might consider paying the money. Either that or note the user ids and wait until a cheaper 3 day deal comes along.Happy chappy0

I think you can meet people online, but i mean would you want to pay and it all be a bit weird.
Anyhow tomstickland - it happens when you least expect it. it did to me, and I was out on a night out. So go out, don't look for it, and you never know
or you might meet someone from here, ha ha ha!!!0 -

I havn't been on this dating site but I have been on the lone parent message board attached to it (which has nothing to do with dating but are mainly the same people) for about 2 years and they seem like a nice bunch of people.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

This sounds like a well-known scam. You (male) don't get any responses during your free trial, but suddenly find there is an exciting message just as the trial ends. So you pay the money for a membership and read the message, but nothing comes of it. In reality the person sending the message is fictional -- it is just the owner of the site getting some revenue.
However, on-line dating can be a good idea. One free site that I like is called something like loveandfriends. You can exchange messages for free, but there are all kinds of extra functions that cost money. I have never paid for any, but it seems like a good business model.0 -

I met my partner on an online dating site. However, it was five years ago, and it was free! I don't think I'd want to pay. My sister met her second husband through Dateline. Cost about £120, but they have been married nine years now, and are true soul mates!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

I've been on match since June. I've met some wonderful people BUT they tend to all have some reason why they are single (if you know what I mean). They tend to have an emotional issue/problem or are not quite settled in their life yet. I'm not expecting to meet my soul mate but it's been a good experience and I've learnt a lot about men and dating.

I went to a wedding a few weeks ago. The couple met on Guardian Soul Mates in the Guardian guide. I also know someone who's just spent a year with a girl he met on there (although sadly they've just split up.)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Theres plenty of people who meet through the various websites and dating pages ~ theres no stigma attached to it now. I would join somewhere like Match.com instead of paying per message, that could be a very expensive way to find a partner!
