just phoned sky on 427026 number, quoted happy 5 and was told couldn't have deal (all channels, 3 months £20.50) as i didn't have a reference number on the letter.!!!!
Anyone have a reference referring to happy 3 or 5?

I also took the three month half price deal with sky, which ran out on tuesday.I rang sky the operator was not very helpful in any deals so i asked to speak to sombody about taking out sky alltogether,i spoke to another operator and i told him i had a better offer of 23.00 a month from ntl (a lie!!!)he then offered me the half price offer for another 3 months which takes me to febuary!!!!!!!hope this helps. ;D0

Phoned Sky back and went down the line of 'couldn't see any offer code apart from Happy 5 on the letter. Could you do it anyway?'
Reply - Sorry, need the code or it'll be full price.
My reply - Oh. Right.Well can you put me through to cancellations then please?
Convo. went something along the lines of - Disappointed that you're offering me something I can't have. Being a long stading customer and all that!!!
C/S agent - I'm sorry too sir. but if you cancel today you'll lose all channels xmas eve. (emotional blackmail I'm sure)!
Point of no return time I thought. So I said, 'Yeah, I know, cancel tough please.'
C/s- hold on sir let me talk to my manager.
Result - full pack 1/2 price.....Yippeee!!!!
;D ;D

I wish everyone would stop their subscription to sky for a month or 2,then they would panic and start lowering the prices. It is such a rip off and while people keep paying they will keep increasing the price and add more pay per view stuff.......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

I wish everyone would stop their subscription to sky for a month or 2,then they would panic and start lowering the prices. It is such a rip off and while people keep paying they will keep increasing the price and add more pay per view stuff.
Could you not say that about everything in life though ??? ???
This thread is to help people get the subscription for half price........Nice to save.0 -
everything in life? ? ? ? ? ?
when i had sky i paid £25 for EVERYTHING
then they started to increase the price and you had to pay extra for Pay per view boxing
then pay per view films
then pay more for football what is it now? £40.99 and you still dont get everything
Then they see a series i really enjoyed watching that series 24 on bbc 2 for 2 full series, sky saw how popular it got and then got the 3rd series and put it on sky 1 thus making people who had enjoyed the first 2 for FREE pay to see the next one
Even at half price for a few months they still get you on a 12 month contract.
If they can get new customers by giving a few months at half price why dont they EVER look after their excisting customers
My life is NOT like that at all.Is yours?......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

I agree with your sentiments entirely ;D charges for Sky have gone through the roof over the last 2 years >:(.
What I meant was that its a case of supply and demand, everyone has the option of not watching or subscribing to Sky. They choose to because of sports, films etc. I just meant to say that if we deny ourselves things in life there is always someone who will pay for them allowing firms like Sky to charge what they like. I wish that people would stop subscribing to them but it just aint going to happen. In my eyes if I can get it for half price its a win win situation. If everyone stopped buying petrol prices would come down because ther would be an excess of oil etc etc. but they dont....thats what I meant about life being like that
Did not mean to offend....and hope I did not
Nice to save.0 -
sorry you cant compare it to petrol,we all need petrol.
All i was saying was that if us brits were more like the french and stuck together a bit more with certain issues we wouldn't get ripped off so much.Look what happened last time we did all stick together.THEY LISTENED.
No offence taken but if it was a full 12 months that was discounted and then you could stop subscribing fair play but you get 3 or 6 months then the other 6 months is full price.
Reason i can't stand sky is
1) they never look after their loyal customers, once you are in a contract your stuck and can't get all the offers all the new customers get.
2)I once wanted to watch a pay per view boxing match, i had been a loyal customer for quite a few years but was moving house. The move wasn't as quick as expected and i had cancelled sky while we moved.I rang them for the pay per view.Explained my circumstances about why i had cancelled etc. They wanted a months subscription (£40.99) plus the £15.95 for the pay per view fight as it was on the night of the fight.
I declined their genourous offer and listened to it on 5 live.It was over in 3 rounds so you can imagine how happy i was at telling sky where to shove their offer......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.
