Don't forget Sky are also launching a alternative to Freeview.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds16465.html
"With little fanfare Sky today launched its answer to Freeview - Freesat from Sky.
The new service costs a one-off fee of £150 and provides the viewer with 140 channels, including the BBC Digital services. Further interactive and radio services are also available.
As part of the package Sky provide a viewing card that provides access to the encrypted free-to-view services, such as Channel 4 and Five. The access to these channels is limited for a 2 year period, after which Sky are expected to charge viewers a further fee to re-enable this access.
While Sky claims that it does not see Freeview as a threat, it has been concerned about the recent slowdown in the number of new subscribers it has been signing up to its Pay-TV business.
A spokesperson for BSkyB said: "We think it is a really good offer for customers. It is not our core business. We will continue to focus our marketing efforts on the promotion of our pay-TV services."
The new service is only available direct from Sky."

I've just rang them on the 404020 number to quote 'Happy3'. They guy said I needed to call the number on the letter. What was the number for the 'Happy3' code.
Cheers.0 -
I just tried with 'happy3' but the operator said the computer wouldnt take that code and codes are normally letters and numbers more like Chloes code I presume.
Is there a half price £20.50 code before I go for Chloe's one?
Thanx.0 -
anyone gotten it for half price? whats the code pls, ive hooked up my box to call them tonite0

Well, I didn't get the call back. So I decided to try my luck again and well, I got caught out:
The Rep said I needed the date of the letter, when the offer was eligible and when it would come to an end, blah, blah, yadda, yadda.... so I gave up.
I can only hope that Sky appreciate the value of their existing customers and throw more special deals our way!
And then he tried to palm me off with a second digi box! The cheek! :-)0 -
I've just rung Sky,and they wouldn't budge.
Any advice?
