Of course you can't afford it coming up to christmas...since you've spent all your money in Argos ;D
I was on the full pack and phoned them a couple of months ago to tell them I wanted to cancel - 3 months nearly up, what's the chance of getting this deal again ???0 -
Just rang Sky on the 08702 427026 number saying I had recieved a letter telling me to quote 'Happy3'. They asked for my account number and then told me that as I was an 'active' customer the offers were not available. I asked what 'active' meant and they told me that if I was currently receiving Sky then I was 'active'. I asked if I could cancel then call up and get the offers and they couldn't tell me.
If other exisiting customers get given the offer it maybe because they are out of their 12 month contract. I have a month to go so they don't need to keep me happy. In fact I detest Sky >:(. They know they have a captive market (especially in areas where there is no cable service). They recently put the phone down on my 70 yr old mother in law because she couldn't understand what they were saying to her about a direct debit.
Bring on cable. Good luck.0 -
I rang SKY saying I was looking to cancel as iwas needing to save money for Christmas. I was on the family subscription but have now been offered the movie package for the same price
, just for one month though
.
Thanks to all the postersDivorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0 -
I have the family package at £19.50. I have just phoned sky and said I wanted to cancel because most programmes were repeated. They said coming up to Christmas programmes would get better and they could reduce the package to £13.50 per month for 3 months. I said I would have prefered the movie package if I could get it cheaper so I got it for 3 months at £17.50. I have to phone on 14th Jan if I want to cancel to give 30 days notice. I now have the movie package until 14th Feb.
Really glad I found this site

Excellent tip, thanks

I cancelled Sky 8 months ago. Phoned tonight and used the code, from the letter :-[, thought the game was up when they asked for the reference number, but as I didn't have it infront of me...no problem! Now have movies at £17.50 for 3 months.
