Me too. I already had a Plus account and phoned the Scottish call centre on the 12th June. She said I now had the 6% and would get confirmation in post. Nothing yet. Should I phone or are others waiting as well?

No, I had a classic previously. However, I am sure that the confirmation page online said 6%.
When I go back online now, there is no option to upgrade to a plus acct at 6%.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Request confirmation in writing. When I asked how I would know that the interest rate had been increased, I was told that I would need to wait until the next statement and see the increase in interest then!!! I got the long face treatment when I said I would prefer something a little more formal.0 -

Thanks, I did phone based upon this. Allegedly, there is a backlog but I have been upgraded... :jHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Phoned up, they tried to sell me another account, but now upgraded. Thanks everyone! They have sent a letter through as well to confirm it.0

JonesMUFC - Do you know if current Lloyds 'current account' holders are eligible to open this account as a secondary account ? It's not possible to do this online as it refers you to branch.0

what is the name of your current account?Keep the Faith:cool:0

WARNING to everyone who has upgraded, CHECK its been done, then check what account its been made into.
I went into branch, to have my two classic plus accounts changed from 4% to 6% last week, the assistant said she would call me at home to confirm it had been done, which she did, and I clarified that both classic plus accounts were now 6% classic plus...yes definatly.
Went into branch to check my no tax status today as for some reason they have now started taking tax, even though all my accounts are R85 activated.
I was told that my 'new premier account' was R85 registered, but I dont have a premier account!!!...'yes you do' she said.
It was with some reluctance that they changed it to what I had asked for in the first place!
They had upgraded one of my accounts to a 'fee paying' account, and not upgraded my other account at all...so check and double check guys!!
Any idea how Ive been charged tax on an account that is r85 registered? (no where near earning enough interest to cross the 'income' threshold!!!!) -ive been a housewife since jan 2007, which is when I completed the r85s
Wow! Reading this made me shiver.. I called Lloyds a few weeks back to arrange the new interest rate, and I received a confirmation letter as I expected a few days later. However, similarly to Lindos' situation I have since received a PLATINUM ACCOUNT welcome pack! All manner of useless benefits for a totally-not-agreed-upon monthly fee of £17!
I called their helpline straight away, and the guy on the end of the 'phone reassured me that I hadn't in fact been upgraded.. I must have just been sent the information "by mistake"..
That this has happened to other people is enough to shake my faith in LloydsTSB a little bit..
