    Hi,
although it is not very money saving I employ a cleaner.
We have spent a fortune doing the house up but I was always unhappy because I felt I couldn't keep on top of the cleaning/washing/putting clothes away etc. I have a 4 bedroom house with 3 lounges.
I have 3 children and work.
The cleaner comes once a fortnight for 3 hours.

Can't tell you the help this has been to me. I give her the jobs I hate such as cleaning the windows etc. I obviously still have to do some cleaning but it has made a big difference.

Justify the expenditure by reminding myself that I don't smoke or drink and don't spend a lot on designer clothes etc.

Pay £20 per fortnight. Best money I have ever spent.
    Regards

Three kids and a job? And don't smoke, drink or buy expensive gear?

    You deserve a cleaner :D

I'd have one myself but like some of the others have said, I'd have to clean up for the cleaner coming ;)

I think Cheryl would probably hyperventilate (like Divadee earlier on today ;) ) if she was watching How Clean is Your House on CH4 just now, I think I'm going to heave. Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeuchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Lard everywhere, cockroaches, s**t everywhere. How on earth can people live like that, I know a bit of dirt is ok but it's just pure squalor. _pale_ I know some of those people who appear on the show have their problems but there are some, they are just lazy b@stards. Unbelievable.

OMG - she had 17lbs of old used, scummy fat/lard come out of her kitchen. Puke!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't read this thread too depressing...Life is more than the accumulation of domestic tasks!
The house is cleaned thouroughly once a week and little joobs everyday.
BTW Divadee, "spring cleaning" as indicated in the name is for once a year type of cleaning... not every other day. :D
