Congratulations. :j Maybe crystallised ginger would be easier to have at the ready if you can find it.

So sorry about your brother. It is obvious your sister is jealous of you and at least she has gone now and you can get things cleared up.
Very warm here so made salad with boiled eggs and cheese, red, green and yellow peppers, mixed eaves, cucumber and tomatoes.
Washing machine has just conked out so spent ages ordering a new one in the Currys online sale.
I was joking with DH saying that now we had applied to renew passports fixed the oven and ordered a new washing machine - we might get a buyer for the house!!!!
An hour later the phone rang and we have a viewer on Saturday!
DD(14) says she will help me tidy up etc which is sweet of her.
Have decided not to get my hopes up wanted a blitz round ready for DD coming home anyway!
Loved the story about the postman!:rotfl:

Hiya! :hello:
Big hugs on their way to betheebee and candygirl.
Congratulations to r.mac!
lyndseyann :rotfl:
The weather here has been lovely today but I've spent most of it inside as I needed to wait in for my new DFS sofas to be delivered. I'm so pleased with them as the one in the shop was a different colour (pale green) and we chose this colour from a sample book. They are a sort of oatmeal/beige colour and the front room looks lovely now with the new paint, wooden floor and posh new sofas.
While waiting for my delivery I've been busy, cleaning, washing, ironing, making a lasagne and making paper mache planets with DD2. The weight loss regime is going well and since Monday I've lost 3lb by cutting out the naughty things, just eating 3 meals a day and drinking tons of water. I'm back at work tomorrow so that should up my exercise regime quite a bit. I'm also taking the girls in with me as (unpaid) classroom assistants too
. DD1 is taking in her saxophone to play for the children, should be interesting to see their reaction as most of them will have never seen one before.
I'm off now to wash my hair and to watch The Apprentice, so have a good evening.

Afternoon/Evening All
Try 2 - via word - and apologies to Beth - lol
Well after getting the connection, so I could browse without a care (if it stays connected), this morning I then slept in, typical.
However, I have read today's thread so here, goes:
Congrats r-mac - I only suffered early on, but the dry biscuit with a drink in bed - before the feet hit the floor - followed by a couple of weetabix, later worked for me. I had to take the weetabix with milk on in a Tupperware to work (left home b4 7) so was like sludge/porridge but it worked so I ate it.
Lyndsey - I enjoyed that - don't worry if he was on the beach he would see loads!
Candygirl - Glad they have got the meds for your Dad, and the McM nurses, the meds can have that affect big style.
Hi Anniestar - Fingers crossed for Phoebe, that was my Grandma's name.
Dazi - typical agencies - just send a body it'll do, you should put a claim in for travel expenses
Mrs_M & DD, Melika, janny-ann, Beth & db, smoky, catznine & P-Pin - hope you are soon feeling better.
What-a-twit – welcome back – hope you had a good holiday
24/7 Electricity Hester ?? – As long as he is not using the wrong websites – lol
Charlies_Mum & DS– hope you get something sorted I would not be amused!
Is the Essay done S-D? Krispy444 – Tilt-table-test? Hope its too warm for the chimnea, Pen-Pen – but sure it will be needed a lot. Dogrose – Uni accommodation, - I remember it well . . .
Stefejb – Hope the cheque turns up as promised.
Chalky – Weather turned good out here now – Things have gone up, but still cheaper than UK (apart from BBand)
B-Rzl - we are outing our TV when we update the bedroom, never watch it.
Taplady dlb and others - well done on the weight loss, SW sounds a thought process for me, I have done it before (without going) and been successful, I will wait for the results on Monday then decide.
((((big hugs)))) - to all those in need - apologies to those missed, and those who I've got mixed up - blame the sun/wine addling the brain.
Looking forward to the Apprentice - another fan here.
Take care

Evening
Another busy day here. Found out I'm not getting a day off this week, as we're short of cover. So I'm working Saturday and actually getting paid over time and getting a day off in lieu:eek: This is not like my work place.
Had a cheque through refunding the car insurance policy I cancelled so that's back where it belongs - in my bank account.
Got some bonus walkers crisps points through from enjoy england, so doing well on those points for days out now.
I have 70p in my purse, which has been there for over a week - I refuse to put more in as I'll only spend it. Done very well at resisting treats.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hey scuzz that's a great idea. I always make sure I have some money in my purse 'in case i need it' what I'd need it for I don't know, apart from to spend. I have loads of petrol in the car, credit on my phone...think I might try your way of thinking... thanks for the tip.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
