Afternoon everyone :hello:
((((catznine))))
((((Penny Pincher))))
((((Beth))))
:j :j congratulations r.mac
I'm having a break from marking my class numeracy SATs papers. Most children had "scored" (ie got a level 2) apart from one who hasn't at all. She really wanted to take the test with her friends, mainly so that she could have a biscuit and juice afterwards!
I haven't been to see my grandma this afternoon. I phoned my brother last night to say that I could go up this afternoon, but apparently she's got so many visitors today that she's complaining. Plus, she's expecting to see me on Saturday........... not that she'll know that it's Saturday.......
Tonight I'm going with a friend to see the Sex and the City film in sunny Grantham. She's going to prepare a meal before we go out, so DH is under strict instructions to eat the yellow sticker pizza that I bought yesterday in Mr T's, by himself. He's not arguing with me.
I must remember to get a couple of chicken breasts out of the freezer tonight as I am going to put the slow cooker on tomorrow, for a change. I haven't used it in ages and tomorrow looks as though I'll need it for when I get back in from work.
Right, procrastinating over with. I'd better get on with the SATs.

I infuse some milk with an onion peeled and cut in half, a few pepper corns and a couple of bayleaves. Usually I just add, bring to the boil and leave to cool.
then I use oldish/stale-ish white bread with the crusts cut off and chop really finely (don't have a food processor - this would make it easier i think!) then stir the breadcrumbs into the warming milk and add more milk if gets too thick. I just tend to use my eye I'm afraid.
oh and I add seasoning too
HTH triker
oooh.....and I was thinking of you earlier. I was watching a programme on SKy called the salvager who makes lovely bits of furniture from recycled wood etc, but he rides around on the most fantastic motortrike! I couldn't help but think of your user name as I watched this afternoon

Thanks for the bread sauce recipe, thought you lot would probably lynch me if I didn't at least try a recipe rather than a packet.

Yey, Trikes, I love em.:j

Hi everyone. I haven't posted for a little while but I have been reading your posts.
Congratulations Rmac, a dry biscuit and a drink before getting out of bed in the mornings seemed to sort out my morning sickness.
lyndseyann - you made me laugh about the postman. I remember once when I was heavily pregnant and it was really hot I only had on my bra and knickers and for some unknown reason (brain shrinkage through pregnancy I think) I answered the door and thought a tea towel would cover me sufficiently - how wrong I was. When I shut the door I couldn't believe what I'd done.
Mr Krispy has to go to the hospital tomorrow for a tilt table test. I am really worried about him. I hope everything will be ok.
Hugs to everyone who needs one.
