Hello everyone  just a quick one for me as I have to get something done in the lab before running off to the exam schools again. Hope everyone is well and happy. Hugs to those that need them.
Busy day yesterday (as usual) my exam in the morning was cancelled, but got another call from a different college needing an invigilator for the afternoon which was fine, but forced me to re-organise everything at very short notice! I got absoultely soaked running backwards and forwards
Got home late, OH had cooked, cleaned the house and done the laundry (bless) and booked flights to Germany because he thinks I need a holiday. I don't know whether the feeling like I was going to faint was through suprise or tiredness! :rotfl:
Hester - glad you've found another lodger! here's to a peaceful time
Charlie's mum - that's really bad for him, hope he manages to ind somewhere else. Really bad form for the wedding planner not to mention that.
redruby - have a good day at work
N9eav - glad you got on okay with the insurance people

Good morning everyone :j Blue skies here :j Hurrah :j
I have to wait in for the delivery of my chiminea, so hoping they come early, as I want to go running and out in the garden. I've bought several plants this week, so want to plant up some tubs for my patio, and look after my veg plants. They'll have been growing like Topsy with all the rain they've had.
Hester - glad you have a new lodger :T Not wanting to offend youg men from Cardiff, he doesn't sound as if he'll give you such interesting stories for your blog
Here's to a quiet life
whatatwit - glad you enjoyed your holiday :T

Haribo and TNG - where are you :happyhear
Off to take a cup of tea to th Young Penguins, have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
looks like it is going to be a nice day so the washing machine is on already.
DS is off to look at halls at uni today to make his mind up which one he wants to apply for.
spent yesterday sorting out financial stuff and car hire for holidays. today must book airport carpark and overnight stay before we fly. check in is 6am and DD is not a great traveller at the best of times so it is easier all round to stay closer to the airport. researched it yesterday so just a case of booking now.
probably will spend day sorting out garden. I have some perennials to plant out, and I need to get something to grow my sweet peas up. Also need to get some bedding plants for my tubs.
will be chicken or turkey for tea, will see what jumps out of fridge first.
hope everyone has a good day.
edit just seen weather forecast. must get garden done today, heavy rain tomorrowx x x0 -
Good Morning All
Unfortunately Miolere we do have rain here, lots of it - really need to see some sun now
Charlies_Mum - thats terrible, hope DS gets something sorted.
(((hugs))) if needed.
Really need to do some housework this morning but am off to Tai Chi, was tempted to miss it but it does make me feel very relaxed so will go and ignore the housework for another day.
Have a load of washing finishing and another to do which will end up being draped around the house again. Fed up with seeing washing everywhere.
Quick tea tonight as DS has footie practice, think they will have something with chips and OH & myself will have some leftover roast pork from the freezer.
Off now for a quick surf, enjoy your sunshine those who have it.

Morning all
Our telly sort of broke a couple of days ago. The freeview wants to reinstall itself but we've lost the remote. There is a telly in dd(22)'s room for essentials so dd hasn't had to go completely cold turkey from hollyoaks and eastenders. It's been lovely - dd(11) has done loads of crafts and falls asleep by about 9.30 - if the remote turns up it might - ahem - disappear again.
Got an email from dbroinlaw to say that dsis's cheque is on the way - such a relief
dd brought home the intineary for her trip at last - drop her off at school at 9.45 monday and pick her up at 2.15 wednesday - this cost me £177. Will have to get hold of dd(18) to do the pick up and drop off - it's too short notice to get time off work and I'm delivering some training next week.
oh Charliesmum - what a pain!I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
:hello: Good morning!
Not so good for me actually as I have woken up feeling rather sick and very dizzy, think the new meds are kicking in. I have had breakfast and am back in bed resting (with the worlds cuddliest puppy snuggling up again:rolleyes: )
It's dawning on me that after the last 6 months of worrying about the rest of the families health probs it now seems to be my turn again:rolleyes: At least high blood pressure is fixable and at the moment it is only stage 1 and it has certainly given me the kick uo the b*m that I have needed to sort out my diet. Porridge for breakfast today, hm veg soup for lunch and something with tuna (pasta?) for dinner tonight. Feeling too sick to think about it too much though, so long as I stay away from junk food and cheese I will do ok.
Charlies Mum - hope you find somewhere suitable soon
(((hugs))) to pp, smoky, jayward, mrs mix, hilstep, candygirl and beth

Morning all, I managed to finish all painting in the house to let, got the curtains out of the cupboard where my Sister screwed them up only to discover half of them are burnt and the rest have been torn, deliberately I think, 1 pair are ok so they are in wm. I have sorted through my curtains but they aren't long enough so I now have to buy some material and make 6 pairs. Gonna struggle with 1 arm and hand bandaged up to the elbow.
Phoned DB last night and the news we were dreading was that the moles (9) are malignant. They are not going to remove them as the melanoma could get into the blood stream. The moles have been measured so he has to go to hosp every 2 weeks to have them remeasured, depending on how fast they grow depends on what, if any, treatment he will be given. He is very worried as am I. I didn't get upset when talking to him as that wouldn't have helped him but was in floods afterwards. He still doesn't want any of our family to know.
Well,,,, I was hoping to blitz the garden at the house as it's clear blue skies but will have to spend the day sewing bl00dy curtains!!!! DH has to re-felt the shed and put a coat of preserve on it, fix the garden gate and mow the lawn. Will be having smoked cod, new pots and salad for dinner, so easy to
prepare.
Had a suprise email from Friends Reunited, had forgotten I was on there, from a school chum I haven't seen or heard from for 41 yrs. So have replied and hopefully make further contact.

Morning everyone,
day off today so i`ve lots to get done.
The weather is lovely so in a few minutes i`ll be in the garden hanging out the washing and then i will be off to put petrol in the car and visit Asda.
It should be dog walking time when i get back and then i`m off to visit my dad who needs a haircut and i am going to cut all 3 lawns for him too so that should take a while.
When i finally arrive home i need to sort out my housework and garden before doing some batch cooking:eek: wonder if i`ll manage to fit everything in.
Dazi - good luck with your interview today
Hester - fingers crossed for your new lodger
Charlies-_mum - i hope that you manage to find somewhere else nice for the wedding, it`s lucky that it was discovered before the big day!
Welcome bubbs
Hugs for everyone today whether needed or not.
Have a good one peeps
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Oh, Beth - sorry about your DB's bad news - I hope they can decide on some effective treatment.
I'd be so tempted to bill your sister for all the inconvenience and expense her antics have caused.
CATZ - hope the meds stop making you feel ill.
Well, DH has finally left so I have put the BM and the WM on, the breakfast things have been cleared up and I am just about to get dressed and tackle the cleaning. I'm going to try and work non-stop so that I can have a bit of a doze before I collect DGS from school this afternoon. I just have one letter to type for w**k and a bit of filing and the rest can wait ilkl tomorow.
ESSEX-GIRL - so sorry it's raining where you are.
Well, see you all later.
