Is the laptop insurance worth it - would you be better putting a set amount away as emergency savings - the price of new laptops is coming down all the time so insurances are not worth what they used to be.

There's not really a person to chase, it's a rather big company body and it's all automated emails etc. I wouldn't have a clue who to contact and it says they keep you on file for 12 months - which is fine, I could probably do with a break.southernscouser wrote: »Have you chased them up?
Thanks hun. It definitely was and whether that was actually the job or my mindset or a combination I'm not sure but I'm definitely glad to be moving on. I do like a challengepostingalwaysposting wrote: »Gem ~ just saying hello and good luck in your new misson. I knew how much you hated that job and if anything it was making you ill. I think you have made a big step. I agree with others get matched betting (your a whizz already) or aqa. If not for the income but for the challenge. I think you will have no problems budget wise as you are fab already
Hows your parents finances coming along?

Thanks Sarah, nope not a little one, there's money due but who knows when I'll get most of it (and the irony is not lost ).SarahNeedle1872 wrote: »Wow, not a small challenge then!?! Can't really suggest anything that hasn't been said, just wanted to wish you luck! If the job wasn't helping your health, then its definately not worth it!

Nope it wasn't so I'm putting my foot down, time to get better! I've spent my whole late teen / young adult life ill and I'm (excuse the pun) sick of it all. I want to feel well, not wonder how four years have passed and I've achieved so little due to sleeping through it all.
I've looked but keep drawing a blank, they are dailies but I can't seem to find them cheaper. They won't switch me to monthlies because I get hayfever so badly.skint_spice wrote: »Good luck Gemmzie, a few cutbacks and it should be manageable. you could probably get contacts cheaper.
I do wonder that, but £156 over a year isn't going to go very far as I can't have a bog standard cheap laptop, I need a very lightweight one. It's screwy at the moment really and I need to send it back it. I think it's dying and it's automatically replaced up to it's original value (£1.2k!)Is the laptop insurance worth it - would you be better putting a set amount away as emergency savings - the price of new laptops is coming down all the time so insurances are not worth what they used to be.

I don't think it will be as I have the £500 for sure and then £1k from my student overdraft if the tax credits money doesn't come through, so no need to stress
Hope so!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Looks like that PC insurance is going to come in handy again  My laptop is dying. I've rebooted it but it's still dodgy and the CD drive isn't working properly, fingers crossed they can take it MondayNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
