Back to the weight loss thingy.

Anyone recommand a set of weighing scales that looks nice?

............ooooh, I really hope so. I always picture her as someone with long dark hair - either straight like the one out of Sex And The City who married the Jewish fella (heah, her!), or wavy like Nigella.

Well done with that raincoat Bb... must feel great.
    Thanks, yes it does:D
Bb, Romania aint the best draw by any means lol (still 4 teams up for grabs)
Still, they topped their group beating holland (unless the dutch are going through a bad phase) 'România, te iubim şi cu tine ne mândrim!'(Romania we love you and are proud of you). Roll on 5pm Monday.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Mick the general thought is to buy the best ones you can afford, and electronic is best as they give a definitive reading. Quite a few on have these new fandangled body muscle / fat / everything else calculator scales but a decent set of those can be pricey. I'd suggest good 'normal' scales over similar-price gimmick scales.

The Dutch always beat themselves up with arguing within the camp Bb. It's as predictable as rain at Wimbledon.

OK, giant freak out going on here with the holiday booking *...and breathe...* I have to sit here and wait for one thing to happen to get the rest to slot into place, and there are huge logistical/cost implications if it doesn't happen in about the next hour. Eeek!

Like Ajax said the other day, it's a good thing I don't have real problems :p

No harm in pushing yourself now and again Tagz. That's great to have mates to look out for each other while you're running, sounds like they are well motivated people themselves too. I'm guessing you are planning to run the whole Race for Life route?

Hi Mick, welcome to the thread and thanks for introducing yourself, it's always great to have a bit of background, helps us get to know you! Good luck with your weight loss. Tagz is right, that's quite the physical job so you'll need to keep your energy up! :D Can't see that you'd need to give up your morning 'brew' by the way, and I'd hardly call it a 'big downfall'? :)Bright Idea has the right idea (ha!), reducing the sugar slowly.

Wendy, I'm sending only 'lots of lovely long sleep' vibes from now on!

Hey Kittykat well done! Great loss again! :D

PinkLipgloss, Morten Harket is twice as attractive than if he looked exactly the same but didn't come from Norway ;)

:rotfl: Raph lol at that comment about Ajax's laydee golfer!

OK I'm starting to panic now :o

......missy, what's the deal with the holiday? Pray tell, I'm ever so curious/nosy. She's not 'my' laydee golfer. 'My' laydee golfer is just to the left here ;).

I'll tell my Norwegian mate about the praise you heap upon her land :)

Just a quick check in - we were out at Brasserie Blanc in Leeds last night for a friends birthday - very nice and not too much damage as trendy small portions and no pud. Maybe a soupcon too much wine....

Stayed over at the Marriott and took our cereal in a cooler bag with yoghurt etc. It was surreal sitting up in a nice hotel room eating my usual breakfast but I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist a cooked breakfast........

Tonight we are having a progressive dinner in our village - I'm doing a main course for 8 - fish pie - nice recipe but quite high in calories. I've reduced where I can but will beef it up with lots of veggies. We were planning to have a few glasses of wine as everyone will be walking but after last night will half and half with mineral water.

Thanks for the thanks ajax - for a bra website - lol.
Is it in your favourites now??

    Lesley.
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

.....never mind favourites, it's my blimming home page!! Well done with your efforts to minimise the damage with eating out and in, that's the spirit that will see the pounds fall off.
