hiya mrs pepperpot! are you named for the childrens books? I had a book of short stories about mrs pepperpot - she used to shrink to the size of . . .well, childrens books can be a little predictable.

a quote from Dame Judi Dench. 'I've seen it, and it's a monster.' MAke of that what you will ladies . . . . .

... that's my gal - right down to the gutter when we were doing so well :D

KPC, it's reckoned that if you live in an urban area you're never more than 10 feet from a rat anyway (or some other eye-catching statistic) so why not just ignore him and let him get on with what he does? Chances are there are 20 of them next door and 30 of them the other side. Like you say, he's doing you no harm. Feed the birds - tuppence a bag. Those were the days eh

    Well done kitty :T

Thanks for the brew raph - you don't have to watch the game - it would be wasted on you anyway, you're only a girl ;) (ducks & runs)

Well done to all you runners :j To be honest I've not even ATTEMPTED proper running since high school as I strongly suspect it would involve embarrassing myself! LOL!

And as for all this talk about handsome men - shame on you all for not mentioning the one and only Morten Harket (lead singer of a-ha) What can i say? I grew up in the 80's - ha ha!

I can vouche for that really, as I got 2 chickens in my back garden and keep getting visits from the local rat. Nothing I can do really as I have a drainage dyke out front of the house that has gone wild with the green;s :)

Made dinner - lovelly... now waiting for it to settle down, off to do some shopping and spend my first hour at the gym :)

love the photos Raph - you look a smiley fun person to me and completely different to how I imagined. Thinking about it, I always picture kpc with long, wavy pale ginger hair. Haven't sorted my own new photo yet: OH is busy totting up marks on science sats exams just marked by my lodger (an official examiner) - some hilarious answers from the kids, and some deeply worrying spelling/scrawl and grammar from 14 yr olds. Mind you, my spelling and grammar ain't all that tho!
Yesterday was classed as a mini holiday, as we don't have the real thing, so had bacon butty and a crepe at the S of E Show. Yum. Back to plan today. Mr BB has now lost 1 stone:j .
Welcome Mrspp and Leo. Loads of fun and support here so log in as much as poss for maximum benefit. I don't think you should worry about giving up your morning brew yet leo - plenty of other things to sort first - this has to be sustainable, not a 'punishment regime'. If you are generally chucking the rubbish and eating better and exercising more, 2 tsp sugar is not goin gto ruin the whole thing and it might help you to keep on track if you have that to enjoy in the morning. Totally agree re the herbal tea - ugh!
So many posts to catch up on for last 4 days, so forgive me for not managing to repond to them all. Off to do a bit of research on Romania to see if I've drawn a donkey or not. Memory of past championships tells me there not necessarily a disaster ...Must them watch last weeks Dr Who or I'll be 2 weeks behind.
Hope you have fun playing with your tools today suggs:D .
Oh, and bought a summer raincoat at the show yesterday in a size 12!!!! Obviously made very generously for a British summer and jumpers underneath, but it's kinda nice to see that little 12 label, happy as I am to be a 14 generally.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

............ooooh, I really hope so :j . I always picture her as someone with long dark hair - either straight like the one out of Sex And The City who married the Jewish fella (yeah, her!), or wavy like Nigella.

Well done with that raincoat Bb... must feel great.

Sorry lippy, morten doesn't get a look in with shakira and natalie around :D

Bb, Romania aint the best draw by any means lol (still 4 teams up for grabs)
