Hi Mrs PP and Mick/Leo, welcome to the thread. I have only been on here for just over a week but I have found it extremely helpful and everybody is so nice.

Mick, I still have my tea with sugar in the morning and thru'out the day, but I cut down from 2 + 1/2 sugars to 2 and now I'm down to 1 + 1/2 sugars. Are you going to follow a plan or just healthy eating?, because if you are healthy eating (I kidded myself with this one for years) then it's the portion sizes you have to watch.

Well done Tagz, that's a fantastic acheivement

hiya mrs pepperpot! are you named for the childrens books? I had a book of short stories about mrs pepperpot - she used to shrink to the size of . . .well, childrens books can be a little predictable.

managed to get to the bottom of my mending pile today! yay! just got to take the hem of a skirt up and i'm done. I made it about 3 years ago for a vampire costume and was overjoyed to find it still fitted. I'm taking the hem up about 14 inches to turn it into my saloon girl skirt. Spent the morning doing some research aswell - we've got a rat in the garden. I'm loathe to stop feeding the birds, though i have stopped putting fat balls out. he's right up at the back so nowhere near the house, and i've reading up on the risk of disease and it seems you're as likely to get weils disease as you are to get bird flu so no worries there. Apparently they hate catnip so i might plant some of that - but that might attract cats! It seems wrong to just kill him/them because he isn't doing us any harm - after all if he was a squirrel i'd be pleased! any advice from anyone?

Daniel Craig is quite hot - I liked him in tomb raider. Oh that shower scene! But like Granny I have a weird fetish too where i find that I fancy harry from spooks. He's just so very cool you see. btw, i was reading a magazine when casino royale came out and that picture of daniel craig was in it along with a quote from Dame Judi Dench. 'I've seen it, and it's a monster.' MAke of that what you will ladies . . . . .

vix Thankyou so much for your advice, I have been meaning to get properly fitted at somewhere like Bravissimo since I stopped breastfeeding (only about 3 months ago) but haven't got round to it. I'm really hoping to avoid taking toddler along, but that seems like a logistical nightmare at the moment. As for horse riding, I don't find that it hurts at all - though I agree that it should.

My back has stopped hurting too now that I've stopped the physio exercises, so I'm actually getting a decent amount of sleep - bliss. I find it so hard to motivate myself to do exercises that cause me so much pain, I'm sure I'll have to have amother go at some point, but I'll have a word with Physio when I see her again in August.

S!!!!horpe reminded me of a tourist webpage for a seaside resort (can't remember where) that kept going on about bleeples and mussles! :rotfl: .

Hello MrsPP and Mick, I'm still fairly new, and everyone is really friendly here. I'm doing a low carb diet (but I've had a disasterous 2 weeks off!) Best of luck with your weight loss
