PLG - I'm amazed! So would 54kg be "just slightly" overweight in Japan, or actually considered obese?

Thanks Jay11 - I'm a running newbie. There are others on here who are proper running regulars :DBails has even done a marathon! I'm sure the 'telling off' must have been meant tongue in cheek? Nobody on here would have said something in a nasty way :) (I am also wondering if it was me as I'm not the most warm and fluffy type either :o) Sorry about the cycling accident - what happened? (Ignore if I'm being too nosey).

Hello again MOT! Hope you're doing OK and congratulations on the fab loss!

I'm saying nowt:p. Tbh I can't remember who it was, just that it was very sharp--old news now anyway. Things had better pick up else I'm gonna kick 'things's' butts! Seriously should get better, we've ironed a lot of relationship stuff out that was niggling for years--men eh!

The other stuff was a couple of deaths in my family, and lots of stupid stuff going wrong cos I was so exhausted with constant rows, same with the bike accident Missyg--I swerved to avoid some kids who were walking on the cycle path, ground was wet, bike skidded from under me. I wasn't really injured but gave my head a hell of a crack, upshot was A&E Dr said I had to be 'quiet' for 3 weks, a real pain with a family & doing a degree, really knocked me back. (I wear my helmet off-road too now, lol:rolleyes: )

Petrichor, you've managed exactly what I'd like to achieve, well-done (and whats yer secret--spill or I'll order you to have a fvd7wp.jpg:D).

    Great to be back, everyone.
    Anytime;)

I have just accepted a mystery shop to my local Gym. I can go free for a day but not sure what to do. Should I go for it and do gym and a swim or would that be too much. What do you gym people think?
    Thanks

Couldn't you do both with a break in-between--light lunch & coffee /massage /jaccusi (sp), depends on what you do in the pool & gym, plus how fit you are. I'd take it from the amount of exercise you normally do. Lucky you tho, nice mystery shop
    Anytime;)

whoa Ajax, didn't realise you were a dudley! that explains a lot. The Dudleys are a proper lads re-enactment group, beer and bash, great guys. We went on a pub crawl with them in St albans once and I still have the scars. I was sent in as the advance party to get a table at Bella Italia for 10, at which point the lads burst in behind me whooping and hollering. The poor couple at the table next to us had to endure shouts of 'loov! loov! worra yoo avin? ooooh, that looks niiiiiiiice.' throughout their romantic dinner. Then followed much hammering on the windows and dribbling at any attractive girl walking by. The piece de resistance came when one of them took a phone call and concluded by announcing to everyone in st albans: 'lads! it's orlroight! she's not pregnant!!!' which prompted a chant of 'ja-ffa! ja-ffa!' They finished off the night in a local nightclub(wearing all medieval kit) where they met a girl who said she was from Dudley. Greg yanked her dress away from her body, looked down it and announced 'yam not from Doodley, yam's wearin knick-urs' All this happened the first time I ever met them. I love the Dudleys, I really do, they are just out for a laugh and they'll help anyone anytime. But if I wear a roll neck sweater they never recognise me!

.......yep, that sounds like my town :) And there's no way it would have been "Yam not from Doodley", it would have been "Yow ay from Doodlay". Get it right!! :D

Hi Annie, do they have a spa/hot tub at the gym?

I went today and did 2 miles on the treadclimber (475 cals) then spent 15 mins in the spa to help with the muscles then did a 45 min aqua aerobics class. It's the most I've done in the gym (cal burning) but I really enjoyed it.
I think you should plan to do both but just see how you feel after the gym. Personally there's nothing nicer than a quick dip in the pool after being in the gym, (just don't normally do the aerobics class) it's more to wind down

Hello all!! Not been on the last few days, been busy busy busy!!
    Hope everyone is ok.
I've booked in my next gym review for the 28th, so as I'm on leave and have no excuse about lack of time, I'm going to really give it my all at the gym until then :D

    Jay,

A while back I commented that it was getting difficult to keep up with who's who - so I suggested we made a website or something. Ajax very kindly took up my suggestion and put this together: :D

Ooh that looks very professional Ajax :D How do you want me to sent my input? Email? I'll have to dig out a couple of photos too.
